Do yourself a favor and read all the comments from previous customers of Ethan Allen before you purchase anything from them. We purchased 1 couch, 1 recliner, 1 rocker, 1 console table, 2 ottomans, 2 area rugs from the Myrtle Beach store. Stephen Brown was our designer and assured us everything would match and take 12 weeks - When the rug (not custom) was delivered, it was not correct and we were not able to return/exchange it and manager Karen Milligan said we were stuck with it. Customer Service is HORRIBLE and so is Karen Milligan. I write this review with profound disappointment regarding our recent (May 2025) purchase. We chose this company based on reputation for quality and this experience has unfortunately fallen far short of my expectations. We will never purchase from Ethan Allen again. Haverty Furniture is the store you want to shop at for quality and wonderful customer service.

We purchased a Chloe sleigh bed from the Ethan Allen store in Myrtle Beach SC. Our designer, Pat, reviewed all the options with us and told us about the process. These beds are not mass produced, but rather made to order at a facility in New England. We were navigating a long distance move and Pat was available to us throughout the process. We waited about 6 weeks for the bed which perfectly fit our time frame. We had frequent communication from Pat and Ethan Allen when it was time for our bed to be delivered. Our delivery team was totally awesome and had the bed together in an hour. I can’t say enough positive things about the Pat, our designer, or our delivery team. It was such a pleasant experience. We highly recommend Ethan Allen and the Myrtle Beach team.

Pat Madison was the interior designer with whom I had the privilege to work. She has a warm, friendly and engaging personality. Pat did a fabulous job from start to finish on my decorating project. She has an eye for color and coordinated furniture, drapery and wall colors. I can’t say enough great things about this dynamic, knowledgeable and talented designer. Thank you Pat for making my vision come to fruition.

Went here for the 1st time at any Ethan Allen location. Went here with my parents on Wednesday June 25th 2025, after stopping by nearby rooms to go. We knew upon entering that it was a little high scale - however they did have some very nice stuff. They sell everything from bedroom furniture, to dining rooms, chairs for the dining room, couches, chairs to sit in, and more! They are all american made, and a little out of our price range, but we looked anyways. Loved how also the showrooms were set up as actual rooms, so one can see how set pieces match and whatnot. There was a yellow chair that i liked and was very comfortable, and i took a picture of it. that chair was like thousands of dollars tho. Anyways, walked out without buying anything but glad we looked!

Was greeted well by a well dressed salesmen but when it came to having to use the restroom no verbal cues by a blonde saleswoman were made to our salesmen to deny us access to the restroom using the excuse they just had the floors waxed and they were too slippery and that the male salesmen slipped and hit his head. Very prejudice feeling environment from the female saleswoman. Will never do business with that particular store because of the poor treatment that was recieved.

Bought two recliners hoping they would be equal to the quality of their furniture, I was wrong. Very dissatisfied with this purchase as I've already had a service tech replace the frame and still makes an annoying noise when reclining. Also feel like I'm sitting in a whole. If there was any way to return for a refund, I would.

WOW!! We hit the jackpot the day we walked into Ethan Allen and met Stephen. I would highly recommend him and Ethan Allen to anyone looking to furnish their home with quality furnishings.
My husband and I moved to a new house last year and have been looking to refurnish our living room. After striking out at many furniture stores we stopped by Ethan Allen. There we found not only beautiful quality furniture but a designer, who after listening to our vision and visiting our home, designed the perfect space that reflected our taste.
Stephen is a wonderful listener, very professional and was extremely patient with us as we went back and forth choosing fabric, tables and a rug that flowed beautifully together and most importantly matched our taste. Not once did we feel rushed or pushed into making a decision.
We are extremely happy with our “new look” and will be back when we look to furnish another room.

It is very rare to find such an exceptional designer and service in the same person. Stephen went over and above to meet our needs during and outside normal hours. Shopping at Ethan Alan with Stephen became a more than pleasant experience. Stephen is incredibly talented and a joy to work with. We can't wait for our new pieces to arrive.

We had such a wonderful experience at Ethan Allen when we were furnishing our new home! The moment we walked in, Stephen greeted us with so much warmth-it honestly felt like we were catching up with an old friend. From that point on, he went above and beyond to make our decorating journey fun and exciting.
He made sure we got the best deal and even came to our house to take measurements and put together some gorgeous designs for us.To make it even better, he returned when our items were delivered to ensure everything was just right! Whats amazing is that we found out we were one of his first clients! I have reached out to him since then for advice and to make additional purchases, and I wouldn't hesitate to work with Stephen again.

Stephen Brown is so great to work with! He had pulled the perfect fabrics and accessories for us before we arrived at the design center. Each visit to our home was so enlightening as we made the decisions with his assistance, and we’re going to have a welcoming, comfortable space for our guests. A great experience overall!

Working with Stephen from Ethan Allen was an absolute delight! He truly brought my vision for our Carolina room to life with such grace and attention to detail. I wanted a cozy little corner where I could curl up with a good book while my husband relaxed and watched television on his recliner. Stephen not only listened, he understood—and created a space that feels both inviting and personal.
What also impressed me was Stephen’s deep knowledge of everything Ethan Allen has to offer. He helped us stay within budget without ever compromising the look or quality, which I really appreciated. And even though it’s “just” our Carolina room, it now feels like one of the most special places in our home.
We’re only waiting on one final piece—the coffee table—but already, the room feels complete. Stephen’s talent, professionalism, and genuine kindness made the entire process such a joy. I can’t recommend him enough!

We purchased a wooden chandelier in March, they made us sign as is statement without examination of a piece. They did not have a person to take it down. So my husband came next day to pick it up. He sign the receipt next day. The day he took light fixture home- it broke. MYrtle beach Eathen Allen store offered to fix it, but would not take it back. Since we signed that statement. The chandelier has 6 parts. One of them broke. The other five have cracks in them. The store is not taking it back. Period. I will never put a chandelier on top of my bed while other 5 part of it is about to brake. I was a customer for the last 8 years. I will never buy another item from them. The quality of furniture is not what they are offering. Very poor quality.

We can't say enough wonderful things about our experience with Stephen Brown. Merging two households could have been overwhelming, but Stephen made the entire process seamless and fun. He listened to our needs, respected our individual styles and brought it all together in a beautiful, cohesive and comfortable way.
Stephen is incredibly talented, warm, patient and a joy to work with. If you're looking for someone who can turn your vision into reality, especially when blending multiple styles and homes-look no further! We highly recommend Stephen....

Stephen was incredible!!!
His patience and knowledge of the finished product I wanted was spot on. We will never buy furniture from anyone else.
We went to several other stores but Stephen is the reason we did business with Ethan Allen.
