Doctors are generally good but good luck calling and getting an appointment with a cardiolgist. No one answers. Leave a message and no one returns your call. Go to the web site and try to schedule online. Click on schedule online and it says we are not accepting on line appointments. Funny but sad. Hah. Just tried to leave a message after being on hold for 10 minutes. Mailbox full!

I received excellent care by the entire team. Heart surgery is no easy, but they made sure I understood everything that was happening to me and follow up was great.

Grand Strand misdiagnosed my son for years. They told him he had anxiety when he said he was having heart issues. Dr. Goodroe looked at my son, I was there, and told him he didn’t believe he would find anything. A couple of hours later my son had three stents from two 95% blocked arteries and one 90%. He has had a lot of issues trying to get help from them with his symptoms and is getting the same, it’s anxiety, answers when a psychiatrist at MUSC has told him that is absolutely not accurate. I’ve watched his quality of life diminish in front of me. The doctor will not return my call when I’m listed and signed to legally speak for him. He is is pain daily and has symptoms that should be treated promptly and with urgency. He should receive sincere care for his well being. Instead his doctor will not see him any longer and he’s yet to receive a referral to someone who will help. I’m deeply disappointed in Grand Strand Heart and Vascular. My son has not received the quality care they claim to give their patients.

I've been trying to see a cardiologist for 3 months now. Heather in medical records refuse to do her job. Left several messages to see if she recieved my medical history from my doctor in California so I can make an appt with a cardiologist. I sure hope I don't have a heart attack before seeing one. It's a shame.

Dr Billy Jackson is nice enough but the staff is absolutely terrible.Rude, lazy and unprofessional. Appointment setters are an absolute joke. The Little River location is the worst of all.Bad attitudes and no patient service. I an currently looking for another cardiologist. Save yourself a headache and seek out another practice.

I am so thankful for Dr. Goodroe and the entire staff here. Yesterday I had an angiogram and I had two arteries that were 95% blocked and one that was 90% blocked. They were the only team that took me seriously and didn’t blame anxiety or my age as the cause of my chest pain. Even when I wasn’t the kindest patient due to my anxiety they still cared about me. They saved my life by quickly addressing my situation and doing the proper procedures. They helped me calm down instead of getting upset with me for my anxiety condition. They got the stents in pain free. By their fast actions I was able to avoid a heart attack. They are also helping me get further help from Grand Strand via cardiac rehab so I can better help myself through exercise and proper diet. They made it so I have more days with my son. I’m just very thankful for them. I can never repay what they’ve given me. I will forever be thankful for them though.

Very professional caring staff, nurses, and doctors. I never felt rushed or waited too long to be seen for an appointment. I feel very comfortable during my visits.

Oh, my, I hope there is enough room to cover my stay at Grand Strand. My first interaction was wonderful, particularly so since I was in a fib and also my heart rate was very high. They took me right in, did an ekg, hooked me up to an iv, and then I ultimately ended up in a chair in the ER. They were monitoring me very carefully and ultimately decided to admit me…at 5:30 a.m. I, obviously, did not get any sleep, and to make a very long story short, I was finally advised at 11:30 a.m. that they had a bed available. This bed was also in the hallway in the ER. By that time, after having sat in that chair (and I could elevate my legs, thank heavens) for approximately 11 hours, I was beyond myself. I had been given what they consider a breakfast…the coffee was so cold that I couldn’t even get the creamer to dissolve. Of course, everything else was inedible. I honestly felt that it was almost cruel to have a person who is having a heart issue to be subjected to such a horrible experience. If they aren’t stressed enough when they seek medical attention, they are certainly stressed after their experience. The only saving graces from this nightmare was the cardiologist who discharged me early afternoon, as well as the woman who had all of my discharge information. Both of them were wonderful, compassionate, and tried their very best to make my leaving there a pleasant experience.I understand that the nurses are doing the very best they can but theyare obviously understaffed and can only do so much.I am sorry…I thought this was GRAND STRAND HOSPITAL!These cardiologists are wonderful and I would give them 5 stars.

The whole experience was made more than tolerable by the great, upbeat attitude of all of the staff and medical personnel that I came in contact with. They actually acted as if they loved what they were doing! Five stars and a heartfelt thank you!

Very professional and everything went smoothly. From the front door to check out- very short wait upon arrival. Ms Morgan spent time explaining every detail with me. I never felt pressured whatsoever. I highly recommend this office.??

I was seen in Grand Strand ER and they make it so easy. Very courteous and caring staff. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Goodroe and the heart and vascular team members. Went through a heart catheter with steering. Great people all the way around with a great team that explains things that we can understand. Best of the best in my opinion. Thanks team

Dr. Palomino and her team are the best. My husband had a triple bypass. I couldn't ask for a better team. After the surgery Dr Palomino was in my husband's room every day by 8 in the morning. She is a caring, kind and wonderful doctor and her team is just the same. We've been in a few hospitalsAnd Grand Strand hospital is the best. The care he got from the nurses on the floor was impeccable. Thanks for saving his life. ?
