Myrtle Beach State Park offers a peaceful retreat along the Grand Strand coastline, surrounded by a lush maritime forest. This park is a favorite for visitors seeking a break from the busy beach scene, providing educational opportunities, nature trails, and excellent surf fishing. The park features a popular campground with well-spaced sites under tall trees and easy access to the beach. For those preferring indoor accommodations, six rental cabins from the 1930s are available. The park is known for its beautiful beach, which is just a short walk away, and a bike trail leading to local amenities. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the dog-friendly atmosphere, with dog biscuits provided at the entrance. While the park can become crowded, it maintains a respectful environment, making it a great spot for families. However, some guests have raised concerns about the design of the nature trail, which ends near a parking lot, requiring a walk along a busy road. Despite this, the park is praised for its cleanliness, great facilities, and stunning views, especially at sunset. Overall, Myrtle Beach State Park is a wonderful destination for those looking to enjoy nature and the ocean in a family-friendly setting.
