It's a shame we are losing another golf course, play this one until the end of November and say goodbye.

Every single bunker was under maintenance and unusable. Also random water puddling out of the middle of the fairway on a few holes like it was a busted sprinkler or something. Got yelled at for not keeping pace of play. They expected a group of 4 to take between 5-10 minutes per hole, paid $65 each and couldn't enjoy the trip because we were being rushed by staff the entire time (on a random monday). Staff were also going to the group behind us and talking smack about us. Negative trip all together, won't be returning.

I was treated like somebody here. Never encountered a more friendly staff. The course is a gem for the price.

Corse is absolutely horrible after it rains pot holes everywhere in both the parking lot and the entire cart path is full of pot holes and yet since it rained the night before you couldn’t see any of the pot holes due to them being filled with water this in mind you have to sign a waiver before going out accepting responsibility for damages done to the cart but the course is not friendly on your own equipment i understand wet golf and the course being wet because of rain but to let the public pay 50 dollars for a course that’s totally water logged and has more puddles than you can think of I’d say to save your money and your own personal equipment from the beating

Its a nice course. Fair pricing. I felt the course was a good challenge/mix. I do feel the greens are very bald. A lot of dirt/sand/dead spots on greens. It has been a rainy week so I took that into consideration but the fairway was very wet but that being said the fairway was very dirty, a lot of grass clippings and debris on the fairway. Which i do feel was because the rain and it being so wet.

Although it rained, it was an awesome experience at a really nice course! From the front desk, to the cart attendants, to the starter, everyone was very pleasant and put up with my rowdy bunch from out of town! We booked a tee time at the last minute and they put us on right when we asked! Great course for the money! I highly recommend!!

I’ve played at River Oaks Golf Club several times and had generally enjoyed the experience—until today. I had an 8:28 AM tee time booked, but while en route, I noticed a 7:40 AM slot was available on the club’s own website. I called and spoke with someone named Steve to ask if I could move up. Despite the availability clearly shown online, he insisted there were no earlier times.
Wanting to be proactive, I arrived early anyway. When I got there, the staff member who assisted with my bag asked for my tee time. I explained the situation and showed him the website on my phone displaying the 7:40 AM opening. He agreed that I was correct and told me to speak to the front desk about going out early.
Unfortunately, Steve was also the one at the desk. He seemed surprised to see me when I provided him with my name and tee time as I had just spoke to him 10 minutes prior. When I reiterated that I was hoping to go out at 7:40 AM and showed the availability, he responded dismissively and sarcastically with, “OK, whatever you want,” as the time approached 7:35.
This experience was incredibly disappointing—not only was I lied to, but I was also treated with clear disrespect. A lack of honesty and poor customer service like this completely sours the experience. Sadly, because of this interaction, I will not be returning to River Oaks.

Not too bad at all. Thoroughly enjoyed being out on the course. They have a few water stations around the course. Officials did a great job of keeping traffic moving. Definitely will play here again.

Always enjoyed this course. Wasn't in the best shape this time but figure that is due to it closing at the end of September.

Greens are really really bad. They charge $62 - many courses at Myrtle Beach in that price range in much better condition.
