The Sea Mist shouldn't qualify for a resort name. The pool was closed for the summer, was green and swamp like. There were no amenities, the rooms and hotel were at best "motel" experience. Even though our room claimed newly renovated, this was nothing more than fresh paint. The furniture, fixtures and appliances were direct from a late early 80s renovation. The dishes were rinsed and put away at best without soap. I would consider this room moderately clean as there were no bugs and we had fresh linens. As we've visited the Sea Mist at different times throughout our life, this experience was a disappointment.

Building and amenities run down or not usable. Many of the pools were closed for use, the one that was open, management couldn’t bother to power wash the area around. Wifi? Yeah that didn’t work. Cable tv was garbage, picture quality was terrible with at least one channel having picture and no audio. The room was decent, and staff super friendly. Honestly the whole complex looks partially abandoned. They easy access to the beach was nice but thats about it. With all the abandoned buildings and unoccupied rooms, there was plenty of parking available. Wildly disappointed at what the photos on the internet looked like compared to what it was when we arrived.

Fire alarms have been going off throughout the day for no reason. No wifi as stated. No lazy river or kids area. Only 1 pool is available. Joke, joke, joke!

security. The daytime security guard/ Officer a younger man with curly hair, is absolutely on the job. He is observant, professional, polite, and takes his job seriously ( in a good way) we like him.The woman at the front desk. She is polite and friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room has a fridge and microwave, smart tv, reception, and wifi are horrible and very spotty. The beds weren't high quality and I wish the pillows and mattress would have had protectors covering them... fyiThe room was maintained well enough. could be cleaner. But it's an older building, so some things are expected. The building's HVAC unit is loud outside and the humming is annoying so I couldn't enjoy the patio as I would have liked. The water pressure is amazing.I feel like we overpaid a bit. But, it is July so, expect costs to be higher this time of year. You can find units on Airbnb that I think have kitchenettes. This one as stated didn't.For a budget beach getaway and if you don't mind a building that has been around for years this is a good option. I mean, you're at the beach right?! Just bring your own pillow

The only thing positive I can say is that I had a great view of the beach and I was within walking distance. However, my room was on the 15th floor and the room was dirty with stains on the curtains, damaged floor boards, mold under the fridge, and worn furniture. After speaking to a staff member in the lobby, I learned that each floor has a different owner so the quality of the rooms varies. The worst part was that the fire alarm went off and I didn't know until my mom called me from the lobby wondering where I was. Once I reached the elevator I could hear the alarm sounding from the floors below.

We booked thru airBnB, the room was "ok," but extremely disappointed with the bldg, upkeep, & sketchy neighborhood. Area is very run down, and while it "looks" like maintenance is being done we saw NO ONE doing any while we were there.Safety: I do not consider this a safe area. There are guards in the bldg 24/7, and that should have been our first clue....Walkability: I would NOT walk this area alone at night!!!

Room was terrible. Floor was coming up, no lights in the lamps, TV channels half worked, plastic covers on cabinets falling off, balcony door was unlocked when we got there and cleaning supplies left in the corner. I advise everyone to stay somewhere else.

Great experience! We booked through Airbnb, not through sea mist so we knew exactly what room we would be in. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Super clean room, great view and really nice staff!

Great to see Sea mist tides and all it’s renovations this year. Room was so clean and the view was incredible. We will absolutely be back again this season.

These are owned condos but rented out using vacation sites. The rooms are really nice. There is security which is really nice. Great indoor/outdoor pool, lazy river, hot tub. Driftwood is on the beach.

I couldn't really comment on the room much, we got the room via air BNB and I'm honestly pleased with it.The hotel is definitely very old, the elevators are absolutely awful - whoever inspected those elevators and passed them need to be fired. The feet washing station/shower doesn't work for getting your sand off your feet so there's sand absolutely everywhere in your room.God awful parking, pipes falling from the ceiling (if someone was parked there it would've hit their vehicle)Not awful, not wonderful, neutral hotel. I can't comment on the rooms that has been maintained via the hotel staff because like i said we stayed air Bnb.
