“Absolutely the best veterinarian clinic that we've found on the Grand Strand (and we've tried a few). We were impressed from the parking lot all the way through to the end of the visit. As we were walking through the parking lot one of the veterinarian technicians was on her way in. We could tell she was genuinely happy to be going to work. As a matter of fact all of the staff seemed to enjoy their job. Our dog loved everyone there too. Dr. Duncan and the technician took time to explain what they were doing, to answer our questions and to love our girl.

We've found our veterinarian and will recommend them to everyone! -Amy

EDIT: Updating this to say that three years later we're still tremendously happy at River Oaks Animal Hospital. They are kind and caring. Our girl (dog) loves to go. They truly love animals and it shows!

2nd EDIT: Another year in and we're still loving River Oaks Animal Hospital.

3rd EDIT: I don't know when was the last time that I updated this review but I'm back again to say that we're still loving River Oaks. I recommended them just the other day.
They have grown a lot since we first starting with them but are still providing great, individualized care. I don't know how Dr. Duncan finds her staff but they are all friendly and seem to enjoy their work.

4th EDIT: Here I am again providing another update... We very much appreciate the staff of River Oaks Animal Hospital. They are thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. We've experienced annual visits, snake bite envenomation, raisin ingestion, and nose bleeds with our girl. I often say that she (our girl) is trying to send me to an early grave but in every case the River Oaks staff have been right there letting us know what's going on, calming me, and most of all providing exception care. I wouldn't even think about trusting our girl to anyone else.

5th EDIT: I continue to say that River Oaks Animal Hospital is the best veterinary office that I've experienced. They all sincerely care about our girl and I would assume all of their patients. I appreciate that they have always been there for us and our active girl with knowledge and compassion. I trust them and that is invaluable.”

“My Maine Coons were groomed perfectly I believe that they cared about them, which made me very happy and the cost was unbelievable. They are very price conscious, which I truly appreciated. They will be going there every eight weeks.”

Dean has been absolutely AMAZING — never once making me feel silly for worrying about my pets and always taking my concerns seriously.

They’ve gone out of their way to work my animals in when they’re sick, and every time we leave, my dogs are on the road back to their happy, normal selves. Finding a vet you can completely trust is priceless, and I am so grateful for the level of care they provide. “After taking Remi to his primary Vet, he became more ill with severe infection in his neck. Dr Rodger and staff treating hi. With aggressive antibiotics and placed a surgical drain. Within 48hrs Remi was a new dog. More back to his old self and back to 100% in less than 1 week. This is our new primary Vet. You should consider”

They helped us to make the right decision and were very compassionate. They even sent a card to us a few weeks later.”

Robert in the boarding will take care of your babies when you can't. He sent us pictures and texts while we were on vacation with updates on how our babies were doing. The boys just love him. “I want to thank them so much for helping my handsome boy, Cooper. We have been going there on and off throughout the years and he’s always been well taken care of. He’s an absolute menace at the vet (he’s a crier and drama queen to the max) but the best boy at home. They don’t ever treat him badly because of it. He’s had checkups here, surgery, and more. They always make sure he’s healthy and not in any pain!”

“We had gone there for unfortunately not good circumstances. Our boy Duke wasn’t doing too well, so we decided to take him in quickly. They were very helpful with everything we needed. Duke needed to be on a gurney and they brought it right out to our truck. They took such good care of him and even did after he had passed. We were so heartbroken but they explained everything so well to us that we were able to fully understand what was going on with him. We got him cremated and they gave him back to us in such a lovely urn with a beautiful note. I am very happy and grateful for the care that we have received with everything that had happened. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and family. Thank you again to the staff and doctors for taking such good care of our boy Duke. ????”

“I can only comment on the clinic. Very organized. Very fair pricing. I've taken numerous rescue pups and have had very good luck with them. They are short staffed/volunteers. They are doing their best. They just reopened their clinic with online appointments so I tried it out and taking my new pup today for shots. I've never been inside. I'm too afraid I'll leave with more than I can handle. Happy 50th Anniversary!!!”

They assist you in ensuring your furbabies are taken care of and if needed, tells you to take them to a Vet. They give recommendations. I highly recommend them for all pet vaccinations.”
