Whispering Pines Golf Course is a nice and decent course with a good, challenging layout. It features tricky water holes and some narrow sections. The greens are often described as great, fabulous, and well-kept, though some currently have Poa annua patches and fungus. The fairways and tree stump removal are a work in progress. The staff is consistently noted as friendly and helpful. The league greens fees are considered fair and very nice for its price. Some frustrations include a lack of ball or club washers on carts, non-working USB ports, and sand traps that are often wet or have little sand. The after-golf grill does not currently serve burgers. It is located right next to the airport.
