It is expensive, almost not recommended. I've had my cat there for a while now and I asked about sterilization for my cat and it costs me 500 to 600 dollars.

Not sure what's going on with the phone service at the North Charleston location. Doesn't matter what day or time of day I call, I get a recording that says the hospital is closed. I started calling at 9:00am and have trying for the last 40min and they are still closed. According to the recording they are opened at 8:00am. Oh, and if you leave a message they will call back the next business day.

They have quick service and professional and friendly staff members. You have the option to drop off your pet, also. It's inside the pet supply store, so you're in the perfect place to care for your pet's needs.

Really friendly staff! My senior pup sustained an injury late in the afternoon and, even though Banfield was preparing to close, they told me to bring her by for a quick visit. I arrived right at closing time and the staff was still super patient and caring. They took care of my little girl and didn’t make me feel rushed or guilty for making them stay late. I am so thankful the care my pup received, and also had an amazing customer service experience. So appreciative of the staff and vet who helped me, I will definitely be back to this location!

Hopefully they fix this and I can give this star back. The emergency number given to access after hours vet advice has been disconnected and if the Petco employees didn't know to send us to the partner blue pearl hospital we would have been upset

The caring staff showed us great care for our dog in an emergency situation. The receptionist took care of us right away and Dr. Reyes and Riley were quick to see us during their already busy morning. We are so grateful for them and the other wonderful staff.

Had my dog scheduled for a spay at the Mt Pleasant banfield. The vet at the Mt Pleasant banfield recommended that I should give her the pill form of an anti nausea medicine the day before that would help her with the effects of the anesthesia. If I didn't get the pill, they would have to give her a anti nausea shot after the surgery that would cost $67. The pill had to be prescribed and because I was going to be in North Charleston, I tried to pick it up @ the banfield on Rivers Ave.When I initially called the Banfield in North Charleston, they were acting confused as to why she would need the anti nausea medication, asking me questions like "does she get car sick or is she throwing up?" After I explained the situation to them they told me they would call me back after consulting with the Doctor there. A few hours later they called me and told me the doctor was denying my request basically for no reason. They also made no attempt to contact the banfield in Mt Pleasant to ask them any questions or anything to try to understand the situation more.So today, in addition for paying for the pain medicine (which is not included for a surgery for some reason) & cone, I'm paying an extra $67 because my dog has to get the anti nausea injection after her surgery. yay! When I dropped my dog off to the Mt Pleasant banfield this morning, they were shocked that the Dr. Reyes (@ the North Charleston banfield) didn't prescribe me the pill, even though it was highly recommended from them.I recommend that they get people who are more knowledgeable and with more initiative at the front desk to avoid situations like this. Because obviously I'm not a vet, so I cant explain things about animal medicine and conditions in vivid detail but they should try to be more understanding to people that don't know vet jargon, instead of assuming that I don't know anything that I'm talking about.

My dog had normal high values of the start of kidney failure back in February and they failed to check his blood work again when he was last seen. Now my dog is deceased because of the kidney failure. I have the wellness plan and they wont let me out of my contract even though my dog is deceased! There is only one good vet in that group and that is Dr Berry. I feel Banfield killed mu dog and they should be put out of business! They only want your money, they have no compassion for your animal. Some of the staff is nice don't get me wrong, but I feel this corrporation should be shut down. I would not take my worse enemy there. I beg people who are reading this review to NOT go there or get hooked on their wellness plan. As far as I am concerned they killed my dog who was not only my dog but my emotional support dog. He was family and I love him so much. He died today at the age 11. He could have lived longer if Banfield would have cared for him properly.

On September 24, 2022 I took Prince my dog in for teeth cleaning and routine exam. When I picked him up that day I was told not to let him go up and down the stairs by himself. So I carried him that day and even that Sunday just to make sure, by Tuesday or Wednesday I noticed he was having trouble going up the stairs so I called Banfield on Rivers to let them know and see what was happening. I went as far as to ask if something happened while in their care no one answered that question the Dr. said she knew exactly what was happening she pressed on his lower back and he yelped. I was given three different prescriptions and was told to come back in two weeks well he got worse so I took him back and as of today my baby cannot walk and May never be able to walk again because of something they did to my baby. I trusted them with my baby. ?????
