Wth is going on with the IRS?? I've been on the phone for 1 hour & 15 mins waiting for an agent to speak with me , then it hung up my call!!Why is it so hard to speak with someone?

Can’t get ahold of a live person, can’t get an answer about my refund and they’re dragging their feet on getting me my refund since it’s been over twenty one days since I filed my taxes electronically. If they can’t do their job properly then they need to find somewhere else to work because they don’t need to be working at the irs.

Our Appointment is at 12:30 pmAppointment letter says ‘arrive the building early enough for security procedures ‘ we arrived at 11.50 am, went through all the procedures, scanned shoes, scanned body, checked purses, bag . After doing all this security procedures so called supervisor lady saying’ oh ! come back at 12:15 your appointment is at 12:30 .My husband said we can wait in the waiting area, she refused ..This is stupid. There is no sign says arrive 15 mins early .. they just make their own rules.It would have been easier if they put signs showing arrive 15 mins early.

I cant even get anyone on the phone. Everytime I call I wait. I press 1 both times like I am told to make an appointment. Then it tells me everytime they have a exstremely high call volume try back the next buessiness day. I cant get anyone on the phone. I cant meet anyone in a irs office. The year is almost up and I still have not recieved my refund that is owed to me.

I arrived at their location on Leeds Ave. (with some trepedation) expecting the worse. I was pleasantly surprised when, after less than ten minutes of waiting, I was in a cubicle with Ms. Sue Sullivan. She was totally professional, jovial, and very friendly. She looked into my case and admitted that the letter claiming that I owed $350 was in error. After a few minutes of calculations she told me that, in fact, I was owed two dollars and some change. WOW! What a great experience! We exchanged a few laughs and I left in a far better mood than that which I arrived.I also have to add the Jeff, the guard at the entrance was super friendly, good-humored, and professional as well.All in all...a great experience.I returned to this office in November of 2021 regarding a letter I received regarding my tax situation. Made an appointment and spoke with a nice lady by the name of Mrs. Ashley. She was thorough, courteous, and professional. She fixed the problem to my satisfaction in less than 50 minutes. Kudos to the nice lady!

Mr. DeVore was absolutely amazing and thorough! He was extremely courteous and polite and comforting when my husband and I came in looking for answers and resolutions, he provided us with all of our options and 100% assistance. We left feeling so confident moving forward. We are so thankful for him. Upon arriving our anxiety was spiking regarding the unknown but when we left we felt reassured!

I attempted to set up a payment plan online, but it says I have to call. I have been on hold for 2hrs with no response and then my call was disconnected due to technical difficulties…are you f’ing kidding?!? I tried to call the local office and was sent to a message stating that my call could not be processed now and to call back. There is no way to fix this online and no way to get a hold of someone. Can someone please tell me how to get in touch with a person who can help???

No business in the world today could survive with the customer service of the IRS. Coupled with an antiquated telephonic system that forces you to stay on hold endlessly hoping someone will respond. Very frustrating.
