“The Sunshine House at North Charleston has been the best care for my daughter since she was 2 years old. Each staff member from the director to the staff have been amazing with my daughters care, learning and growth. The teachers are very attentive, dedicated to teaching, activities and so much more, the teachers are charismatic and loving to all the children. I made the best decision in choosing The Sunshine House at North Charleston for my daughters care and learning school.”

“I LOVE this Facility! I have had nothing but a GREAT experience since me and my kids have gone here. I use to go here when i was a child and now 20 years later both of my kids go! Everyone is always in a positive attitude and always welcoming to the kids. Everyone knows my kids by Name. which is very rare now days. My kids love to come here in the morning and whenever one of them is out everyone is asking about them. I have recommended many of my friends here and i will continue to do so. I wouldn't want my kids to go anywhere else other then a family members house and that is exactly the care that the kids get when they go here!I have two children that attend here at the sunshine house! This is not a daycare this is more like family! They always keep you in the know on your child, if you ever have any questions they are quick to answer and assist in anyway possible. Its still the same loving/caring environment from when I attended 20 years ago!”

“We placed our daughter at The Oaks when she was just 8 weeks old. We then transitioned to another daycare at six months due to the ease of the location only. however after just one year we were fortunate to be back at the Oaks and are making the commute regardless. She is happy, enjoys going to school now, and even though I have never been inside bc of Covid, I receive plenty of pictures throughout the day and never have to worry about how she's being treated or if the teachers are engaged. My only suggestion would be to stay open later.”

“Started visiting here looking for a local Park Circle church. Pastor Dan is a great minister. There is a great small young adult group (30s-40s) that meet every week. Good youth group and children's group.”

“As a volunteer Mentor, this was my first time here. Certainly it is not on Meeting Street, which is located in downtown Charleston while this school is in North Charleston on Leeds Avenue, across Dorchester Road. Meeting Street is the name of a private school supervision company. This school has some friendly and outgoing staff, some of whom I met when they stopped me in the hall just to shake my hand no doubt seeing my visitor pass on my jacket. The school looks freshly painted on the outside, with a number of outbuildings which appear to be classroom spaces. A basketball court with one basket and a failing basketball net is an outside gathering space for recess activities and picnic styled tables. The main building's halls are well decorated with some students art and writings, plus lots of motivational posters. Quite inviting, both in the personnel and the facilities.”
