The bank was bad and went through a merger only to become even worse. The customer service at the branch on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach is horrible and probably the worst I've ever experienced at any financial institution.

Since opening my account I have had nothing but issues with this bank. They have policy that should be looked over by the better business bureau and the FDIC. I have had every payroll check held for 5+ days at a time, over Christmas I had a check held for 12 days. My time with them has been well over their 30 day requirement. I currently have a check on hold and no one seems to be able to help me or explain why it’s being held only because they can is how I’m hearing it. I’ve spoken to customer service representatives and supervisors. I haven’t been able to eat, put gas in my car, or live comfortably. I feel targeted, misinformed, and down right used. They have no back up policy for peoples checks being held, they say you can get a portion of your check released but I have yet to see that. They don’t see you as a person just as a number and if you are okay with working 40+ hours a week to not have access to your funds this bank is for you. I have never been treated this bad before It is humiliating and disgraceful.

They either need another branch in North Myrtle Beach or hire more people. The wait time for the drive-through is ridiculous!

Terrible customer service! I walked with my wife to a long line and waited patiently. While there were multiple staff walking around, I was never greeted by anyone until approximately 20 minutes of waiting. The one open teller had a long line and people were grumbling and complaining about the lack of at least awareness that people were waiting. Finally after about 30 minutes a man comes out and asks if anyone needs something other than the teller. I spoke up and stated I needed a notary. He looked at me multiple times but never responded. I was the only person who needed something other than the teller. He then asks my wife what she needed as she was in the corner. She stated she was with me and that we needed a notary. The banker all of a sudden appears to be helpful since he was helping a woman. He goes into the back room and comes back with the manager and states that the bank can no longer notarize anything because he didn’t personally know me. I think I must have misunderstood what a notary was my whole life ?. Why show my ID if you know me ?. He then says UPS can do it for you. I find it odd they don’t know me when I want a notary but gladly take my house payment every month ?. I have already switched all accounts except my mortgage and will be switching it soon. 20 year customer lost and I will certainly share the lack of care that this branch and bank delivers.

Most unprofessional people ever at a bank. They truly do not have a clue as to what they are doing. Over $3000.00 hacked from hubby's account. Airline tickets bought on his account from Las Vegas, we are on the east coast, and they still haven't refunded all of his money. Almost $600 still missing and the poor girl don't have a clue as to how to get it straightened out.. How about some training for people before you put them in those type positions??!!

The worse BBT I have ever dealt with. 20 PLUS YEARS and this is by far the worse BBT. Poor management, poor customer service and just an over lack of professionalism...negative zero stars ?

I called ahead to speak with someone concerning past statements. No one returned my call, so I go there and I am waiting for my Relationship Banker. She walks out and does not even acknowledge that I am sitting there.Customer Service must be a thing of the past with this company.

Horrible customer service. I called 2 days ago to speak to "my personal banker" ,still waiting for a return call. Having just gotten out of the hospital after Covid-19, and a dangerous heart condition. I asked my girlfriend to make a cash deposit into my account. I filled out a deposit slip with MY ACCOUNT and she went to the bank. They gave her such a hard time about depositing it, that , if she didn't have an account there, they would not have done the transaction. I called the bank and spoke to the employee involved, and I gave her a good piece of my mind. I asked her what is wrong with you people? She mentioned something about knowing where the cash is coming from? REALLY??? T he previous week my girlfriend deposited a good amount of cash and there were no questions. Not too mention, this bank holds my mortgage, I tried to re-fi when the rates were low- their mortgage officer never called me back like she said she would. GO ELSEWHERE. After writing this-I'm contacting my Attorney, and their corporate office.

Worst and slowest service I have ever experienced. Used to love the Branch on Hwy 17 in front of Big Lots. The people at this Main Street office used to be good, but when the other branch closed and they supposedly merged or lost employees, it has gone down hill fast. Terrible service in drive through during covid. Slow slow slow slow service! Little River branch is so much better !!!!! Sorry to say this but it is the truth. I forgot to say my wait time is usually 30 minutes but the last time I came, it was 42 minutes.
