Absolute worst experience! House was filthy when we arrived. Charged excessively for cleaning fees and still had to clean it ourselves upon arrival. House we rented was not representative of pictures online at all! Posted pictures of the house we rented were extremely out of date and the house was very run down. Paid for linens and when we received our bag of linens they had a set of the wrong size sheets in the bag. All linens, comforters, couches, curtains were full of stains and extremley old. Main entery door was broken and did not lock, tiles seperating in all bathrooms, air vents filthy and rust throughout the entire house, sheets safety pinned together to act as curtains, sliding doors that were broke and inoperable, stains and filth everywhere, I could go on and on. Contacted the office day after we arrived expressing our concerns with no solution offered other than to leave. Then they have the audacity to charge us an additional cleaning fee out of our deposit. Absolute worst company I have ever worked with. Will never book with them again!

I waited to write this length review until I got my security deposit back, and if you read the end of this, you will find out why. Please do some deep diving into these reviews before you book with Grand Strand. I highly recommend booking with Elliott Realty. We have always booked with Elliott's until this time, and we learned our lesson. We booked Sea Cabin 150-E from 7/01 - 7/08. On 7/03 I went to the office and did all the necessary paperwork. This is when they put a hold on my card for the $100 pool key. This hold was returned the day we checked out. We had a few problems with our stay... On the day I did the paperwork, I mentioned in the office that we were not made aware that the pier was closed. I was given the runaround about the hurricanes and how it is out for bid, but I was never offered any compensation/partial refund in regards to the false advertising. We have stayed at Sea Cabin's many many times, and the pier is the reason we go. Never was it listed in the ad that the pier was closed, nor did they tell us over the phone. This is considered false advertising to me, because Elliott's will list in their ad if it is closed. After doing our paperwork and finally settling in, I noticed our room was NOT cleaned properly. I have photos of some sort of something on the floor between the bed and nightstand, the very dusty TV stand, a golf ball beside the couch, a fake perfume bottle under a stand, and a pair of socks behind the dresser. I sent these photos in an email on 7/3 and again on 7/5. I never received any sort of communication in regards to this matter. Lastly, in regards to the security deposit. Ours was $250. I called a couple of weeks after we left, because when I had checked in, the button hadn't been clicked to charge me for my pool key, so I wanted to make sure that it had been clicked so I would be getting my deposit back. I was told it had been and that I should get it 3 weeks after check out. I called 3 weeks after check out, and I was reminded that it would be 4 weeks as per our contract. So fast forward to 3 weeks and 6 days, I call again, and I am told it is not 4 weeks. If you check the calendar, 4 weeks from the date we left would be August 5th. According to them, it is by the day, so for example, we left on July 8th, it should be back by August 8th. Which to me is something else that is interesting about this place. Our contract says 4 weeks, but we are going to 4 weeks and 3 days? This has been a very interesting experience for me, and I have learned a very valuable lesson.. stick with the ones you know will do well!

This was my first and last time to rent a property from Grand Strand Vacations.I rented 201 Blue Mist for two weeks and right away we noticed mold and mildew in dresser drawers, walls, lamp shades, ceiling, and baseboards. The unit had musty and moldy scent which really bothered my allergies and I was not able to sleep the entire time I was in the unit.I called the office about the mold, odor, and humidity and they suggested to remove and clean the filters from the window units to which I responded that it was not my job and I am on vacation! They sent someone who cleaned the filters, wiped the mold from one of the dressers and wipe some of the mold from the queen bedroom ceiling which made some improvement but the odor and the the rest of the mold from the unit was still there. This unit was next to beach access and many people were parking there without a pass or driving their golf carts to the point of entry without regards for the occupants. I had to make sure myself or the dogs would not get run over standing next to the building. Every time we went to the store we were fighting for a parking spot and had to wait for someone to move a car. I have two parking passes but would have never been able to park more than one car at anytime. The unit did have room for 6 people to sleep however only 4 people would barely fit in a tiny kitchen that had like a 20 inch counter space which had a toaster, coffee maker and paper towel dispenser on it, leaving you enough room for a cup or a bowl. The dehumidifier in the kitchen area could not keep up with the moisture in the unit so if one of the bedroom doors was closed at night everything would feel damp in the rooms and even the bath towels would not get close to drying.Did I mention that the king bed was uncomfortable and all my clothes on the drawer chest smell like mildew?I can go on but I think you get the picture.

We have used Grand Strand Vacations for several years after being let down by another management company two years in a row. I wish we found Grand Strand Vacations sooner. We are always treated kind and everyone is very friendly. Our issues are addressed immediately and we have been pleased with the houses we have selected. The only disappointment is some of the owners don’t make improvements even after we leave reviews for them. Luckily, we were able to find another property after using the same house for three years. We are looking forward to trying out the new house we found next year.

This company and the manager/owner are a big joke. They rented us Blue Mist 103 in N. Myrtle Beach as a 1 bedroom. Nope. This is a studio as there is no private room and no actual door. The description says "oceanfront" sundeck which is no where close to reality but don't take my word just look at the online photos. The manager fought us tooth and nail being rude and condescending. She didn't provide a partial refund or even an apology for the false advertising. Would never go back to this company and would not recommend. Extremely poor customer service. Rent at your own risk.

We loved the location of our unit (Ocean Pointe A2), but the mattresses in all of the bedrooms were seriously worn out and uncomfortable. In addition, several of the mattress covers had disgusting stains. The dishwasher was broken and the dishes in the cabinet still had dried food on them as a result. Upon our arrival we had to wash mattress pads and dishes. The dishwasher was replaced the day before we left. This would be a great unit with some furniture upgrades and paint on exterior doors.Another concern that I have is the length of time it takes to have the security deposit returned following check out. With the concerns we had with our unit, I am not sure why I have to wait a full month to receive my $250 security deposit. That is entirely too long for them to hold a customer's money as I am sure the condo was assessed for damages upon check out. I was told the reason for the month-long wait was to ensure "people had not made long distance phone calls or charged up movies." I made the suggestion that in 2023, people do use cell phones and their own streaming services, so the policy seems outdated.THE BIGGEST ISSUE with Grand Strand Rental - Ten minutes after posting on another site a three-star review with the concerns mentioned above, I received perhaps the most unprofessional phone call from someone in management at Grand Strand Vacations. I was told that these issues were not reported, which is completely inaccurate! I have never been spoken to in such a rude manner. It was a COMPLETE LACK of professionalism. Do yourself a favor and look at their reviews on other sites as well. I would never use this rental company again!

Grand Strand Vacations, North Myrtle Beach, SC is stalling on returning security deposit. When the owner was questioned she got very angry, rude and could care less about customer satisfaction. They ask me for a review and the following is how I rated Ocean Pointe A2 in Cherry Grove on 6/24/23. I fully understand that things break, however the dishwasher being broken wasn't something that just happened, too many dishes placed back in the cabinets filthy. (A health hazard). It had been that way for a good while. Dirty (with blood) mattress pads should never happen if properly checked between renters, we had to wash 3 before making the beds. A 25 year old microwave with missing turn table tray is useless and should have been replaced when the parts were no longer available. If listed in equipment it should be in working order. The linoleum tile flooring was dirty and in bad need of a good cleaning, socks and bare feet got dirty from walking around on the floors after showering. All of the mattresses need replacing and weren't comfortable. The living room furniture was worn out also, you just sunk down in it and difficult to get out of. All the exterior doors were rusted, not a good first impression. I can over look a lot of this units cosmetic imperfections, however cleanliness and comfort are very important to renters. The dishwasher was replaced on Friday evening but too late to benefit us. The worst part is that none of these ratings are showing for future renters, they are covering up the true ratings and hiding issues. We will never rent from them ever again!

My pregnant wife and I were in a pinch for parking on our vacation when the condo we were renting from did not allot enough parking passes, but Grand Strand Vacations generously allowed us to park at their office. I’m looking forward to being their client some day.

We booked a last minute trip for our 25th wedding anniversary only 2 days before check in. When we initially arrived at about 1 am , we’re disappointed in the unit. The next morning my wife contacted the office regarding the condition.Within 2 hours, we were relocated to a beautiful location, beachfront of course , which was several tiers above what we booked and no extra charges. This organization and the staff were incredibly attentive to our every need. I could go on and on but let’s just say we will ALWAYS book through Grand Strand Vacations whenever possible. If I could give 10 stars I would !

My family stayed at A Summer Place Unit A7- 5600 N Ocean Blvd.. To be completely honest, the unit could use a good old fashioned deep cleaning. There was so much dust present throughout the unit which was evident that the unit is not being properly cleaned after each guest. The floors had not been swept good or mopped AT ALL.... and they should consider washing the comforters on the beds as there were many stains on both sides. Honestly, it is probably not a bad idea to replace the comforters. The master bedroom bathroom still had hair on the floor and around the base of the toilet. There was just so much uncleanliness that could be seen on the surface . The balcony had not been swept, there was trash (including cigarette butts) left on the balcony and behind the AC unit. I understand the unit has been remodeled. However, there is a very peculiar smell/odor in the unit. It is a cross between mildew, mold, musk and urine (my kids added the last description). The unit needs to be treated for ants as well. There was a heavy presence of ants in the master bedroom- including the bed and naturally the kitchen. Even without leaving food out the ants were bothersome. The smoke detector in the unit would alarm for no reason at all- no smoke in the unit, no stove on..- Nothing. The electrical outlet on the deck did not work, I did call the office attempting to get this resolved during our stay but was informed that the owners were aware the outlet was not working and failed to resolve this prior to our booking and would not resolve it during our stay- perhaps they have given this the attention needed by now. The balcony is also a very small area because the AC unit is housed there therefore, its a very tight space if you decide you want to entertain in the space. There is only seating for three people. The other chair is inside the unit in the living room. ( I have provided a picture of the space for a visual). There are no smoking signs posted in the unit and on the property however, it is quite unfortunate that this does not seem to be enforced as I personally witness people standing outside smoking and I could smell smoke when outside of the unit as well as the cigarette butts left on the balcony of the unit. The positive about this unit is the direct access to the beach however, it is situated directly at the access point and just above the pool therefore, there is direct contact with all of the communication from people going to and from the beach and the pool including hearing people rinse off with the water just below the unit. If you decide to stay in this unit make the best of it like we did and enjoy your family and or friends away from the unit- besides, I understand people go to the beach to enjoy the beach not to stay inside. Peace and bliss beach bums.

We arrived at our condo on a Saturday and ran the dishwasher for the first time on Sunday. It overflowed and water was all over the kitchen floor. We called for maintenance right away and they said they would be there the next morning. After FIVE calls with Grand Strand, they finally had someone fix it on Friday. Washing dishes by hand all week on vacation wasn’t fun. Horrible customer service!
