They charge 15$ extra if your dog bites the cage they put them in. I'm unsure how ling they keep dogs in cages.

The older lady cashier needs to speed up. She is slower then slow. I have better things to do than wait 15 minutes for her to check out one person

The dirtiest PetSmart I've ever seen. They don't have as much inventory that other PetSmarts have. I had to pick pieces of plastic up out of the floor to keep my puppy from eating it and choking. IF he would've ended up at the Vet, they would be getting a bill! Plastic sharp pieces are very dangerous to dogs!

Title: Unpleasant Experience at the Grooming Salon Pet Smart-wish I could give them 0 stars I recently had a rather unpleasant experience at Pet Smart North Myrtle on January 26, 2024, and feel compelled to share my disappointment. I took my beloved Golden Retriever to be groomed, expecting to pay the initially quoted amount of $90. However, upon arrival, I was informed by the groomer, Taylor, that additional work was required, and the grooming would now cost $119. Reluctantly, I initialed a paper agreeing to the revised price. I should say that on and off over 7 years I used Pet Smart and I was never charged $119. The situation took a turn for the worse when I asked to see the paper I had just signed, and Taylor refused, keeping the $139 bill conspicuously in front of me. Frustrated and confused, I requested to speak to the manager, and Kyle identified himself as such. What ensued was a 15-minute argument where I insisted on the initially agreed-upon $119. Upon returning three hours later to collect my pet, the bill had somehow inflated to $139. When I pointed out that I had signed for $119, they refused to provide me with the paperwork I had signed. Frustration mounting, I suggested involving the police to resolve the dispute. Astonishingly, I was accused of creating a hostile environment, despite being a 75-year-old woman with silver hair, standing at 5'1. Eventually, after raising my voice and insisting on the agreed-upon price, they reluctantly accepted the $119 payment. This entire episode left me feeling cheated and mistreated. It's disheartening to think that a business would exploit a situation simply because they have control over a customer's cherished pet. I would caution others to be wary when dealing with North Myrtle Grooming Salon, as my experience suggests a lack of transparency and a willingness to take advantage of customers.

If you're in the tropical fish hobby give this place a strong pass. If you go to this store you will wonder, based on the fish and pet section how are they in business. The place is most dysfunctional. 1. Inadequate lighting on the fish tank displays, how can you pick out fish if you cant see them? Absolutly terrible, so baed you cant comprehend based on my review. I have purchased some fish there, but I already know what they look like and didnt have to rely on the poor lighting of their displays. 2. The only live plants that they sell are on a shelf out of water in plastic containers, even then a pitiful selection. 3. Anyway, just a mile or so down the road is their other national competition, and like Petsmart the other nation chain starts with Pet. Night and day difference for a national chain go to the other one. It's actually more like a real pet store and well stocked. 4. Another perfect example of a mismanaged store. Even outside the building, in an area with upscale shopping you cant even tell if Petsmart is open at night. Why? Its the only store front that is dark at night because the lighting is not maintained outside! The whole front of the building there is one working lightbulb. Even the lobby with the shopping carts is dark, it truly looks closed. Summary, Dont make a special trip to this store, go to the other national chain down the road if you have too. With that said, if you know exactly what you are looking for, sure, try shopping here, I still stop in from time to time, always disappointed but I have purchased things there before, such as decorations and rocks for my aquarium but it is the LAST choice stop that I make out of desperation.

Every employee was extremely rude. I asked for help locating an item and was talked to like crap. Got to the register and the cashier was extremely rude to me because I guess I had to much stuff and she was trying to go break. Half way through she walked away and I waited on someone else to come finish ringing me out... will never go back to this petsmart again. I spent $250. I got home and the fish food I bought was a empty container. Called the store and she told me I should've checked it before I purchased. Never ever again will I go here again.
