This gym is awesome. I recently joined the YMCA with my family in hopes of restarting a new whole health regimen for everyone. So far, working out together has gotten off to a good start! We regularly use the basketball court, the cardio room and the pool to burn calories and have fun. Its also nice that we are always greeted with a 'hello' from the friendly staff and that they make it important to keep the facility clean. Great job Pawleys Tidelands YMCA!

This YMCA location does not accept the nationwide membership. The facility looks nice but charges $15 a day for a guest pass.

Disappointed in price increase for visitors from other Ys.

This gym is the best option in the area. I would prefer if it had another rope, a weighted standing calf raise, and hack squat. The only other problem is the gym only being open for a total of 13 hours on weekends.

Great place near home to work out or get in a hot tub. Sarah at the front desk was very helpful! It is a very clean and comfortable place to go!

Posting review because I have tried to address a sauna issue with the front desk 3 times and it has not been resolved. There needs to be a sign on the outside of the sauna that informs the users to not use it to work out in. There is one user who consistently uses it to bring weights into the sauna and use them. He works up an extreme amount of sweat and does nothing to prevent a pool of it to surround him and the frequent spraying. He is shirtless and has no towel. Sometimes his pants are not covering everything that needs to be covered. Once he was laid out on the entire side of the seat lifting the weights. This behavior is very offensive to all the others using the sauna in the correct form and are subjected to this rudeness and unsanitary condition.

Excellent gym. Will become a YMCA starting October 2020. Has sauna, steam room, lots of fun workout machines most of which I can't describe. Clearly days of row after row of treadmills is over, yet they have plenty of those as well. Parking lot can be packed and yet workout machines only 3/4 full. Free weights, all sorts of various weight machines. Racket ball. Used to have pickle ball pre Covid so that will probably come back. Swimming pool is small and laps by reservation only, but I don't see this as deducting a star, it is what it is. Has a hot tub, never crowded. Nice locker rooms, good showers. Has trainers, currently shifting over to Y system, lots of various classes. Definitely caters to an older crowd, and those with disabilities. Nice support for those with COPD, has exercise physiologist.

Could be a nice facility. Expensive, and with little trial options. Only gym in the area to make you wear a mask in SC..
