Long Shoals Roadside Park is a gorgeous and amazing place for trout fishing, hanging out in nature, and swimming. It is really easy to get to with great parking and stairs down to the stream, which opens up to a beautiful swimming area with a sliding rock, a rope swing, and a nice sand area for little kids. The water is amazing to cool down in. It is good for all ages, busy in summer and on weekends, and dog-friendly. There are trails, though some were almost completely blocked by fallen trees, so visitors should be safe. There is a bathroom at the top with portable toilets. Visitors are reminded to pack in and pack out their trash.
Love this place for trout fishing and hanging out in nature. Really easy to get to with great parking and stairs to the stream. Fishing is off and on…

Enjoyed the waters to cool off. Sliding rock area. Nice place to have a small picnic.
