On 22 May 19 I took a current Talbots catalog into the Talbots location in Rock Hill and ordered a pair of Sperry sneakers from the catalog - the sales person took the info directly from the catalog. I requested that the shoes ship to the store rather than to my home. My Talbots card was swiped and I was told I would receive the shoes on 30 May 19. I received 2 emails from Talbots confirming the order, stating the price & that my card had been swiped upon shipment of shoes. Today (3 Jun) I returned to the store to cancel order & get a refund on my Talbots card as I hadn't received shoes. Darah (manager) waited on me, I showed her the catalog & the 2 emails on my phone from Talbots showing my card had been billed. Darah told me that I won't be billed until shipment. I told her they shipped. She was very dismissive, argumentative. I became agitated & upset & repeated my story to her, she repeated that I wouldn't be billed till shipment, I told her that in an “Amazon worldâ€, this slow shipment wasn't acceptable. She then raised her voice in front of all in the store and said to me, “ I GOT it! I GOT it! I GOT it!†- shocked, I said over her continuing conversation, I KNOW you GOT it, I KNOW you GOT it, I KNOW you GOT it!, but I want a refund on my card. She got an iPad, pulled up the order, & said, “crest vibe linen - then the price of the shoesâ€. I asked, “what is that?†She responded, “Nothing.†She walked into a back room in the store - no explanation of where she was going. She returned. She then said, “I'm going to refund the money to your card. We'll worry about the shoes so you won't have to.†She handed me a receipt which read: “catalog order #followed by 13 digits, under it was ‘crest vibe linen' , the price of the shoes, reason code: 11, & total funds returned to me. The shoes were called Sperry Crest Vibe Sneakers. Not only did the store order the wrong item, they billed me & never called when the crest vibe linen ?? arrived. AND I was humiliated in front of everyone in the store by Darah. She never apologized for her public scolding of a long-time customer. I am still in shock & feel very insulted by Darah's intimidation attempt, RUDE behavior, incompetent work skill set & her public rudeness she displayed to me. Advice to other gals: DON'T MAKE DARAH MAD! YOU'LL REGRET IT! 😳
