GameStop is a gaming haven for enthusiasts, offering a wide range of products and services. As a one-stop-shop, the store caters to gamers' needs, stocking new and used video games, consoles, controllers, and accessories for major platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo. Beyond gaming, the store also carries trading cards, sports cards, Pokémon cards, and other trading card games, as well as an array of gaming, anime, and pop culture merchandise, including collectibles, action figures, apparel, and board games. The local store locations boast a caring and attentive staff, always willing to chat, make suggestions, and provide a pleasant shopping experience. Customers have had great luck with the in-store service, finding the employees to be extremely friendly and helpful, particularly with purchases like the PlayStation 5. However, the corporate side of the business has received criticism for its poor customer service. Online orders have faced lengthy shipping delays, and attempts to reach customer service through phone or email have been met with long wait times and slow responses. This disconnect between the local stores and the corporate leadership has left some customers feeling hesitant about doing business with the company as a whole. Despite these challenges, GameStop remains a beloved destination for gamers, offering a range of products, trade-in options, and loyalty programs to cater to the gaming community.
The shelves were pretty empty. The employees were kind. They were able to locate a new copy of pokemon violet despite the website saying they only had used copies.
