De Pot the Home. An orange version of lowes, less employees working but they seemed more helpful than it's competitor.

Was at the Seneca store an older lady was in front of me , trust me the store was not busy she bought 2 bags of mulch and that watched her leave and she was going to load the mulch herself I yelled at her to wait and went and did it , to me it’s no big deal it’s what you are supposed to do , I never saw 3 most useless employees EVER, I will go to the Clayton store in Ga. For now own it’s a little longer drive. But I have seen it first hand they take care of their customers.

Slow and unhelpful.
I was in line at customer service trying to make a return and I was ignored and then passed over for people who showed after me.
Not the first time I’ve had an issue with their customer service.
This is why I just stick to Lowe’s

This is the worst managed Home Depot I have ever been to. Zero customer service. I came to this store to get an $800 grill two months ago. I had to go to customer service service to even get someone to “help”, after waiting about 10 minutes. During this time, I was asked three times by the same person if I wanted air conditioner service or a generator. The customer service person said she would get someone to get the grill down for me. After 10 minutes, she comes back with a cart covered in mulch and dirt. She said someone was on the way. 10 minutes later, still no help. I left the store, drove to Lowe’s down the street. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Today I came to this to buy some pavers that Lowe’s does not have. I come in and can’t find a cart. I had to go back out and comb the parking lot for a cart. I loaded 45 pavers and ten bags of sand myself. Not ONE worker who passed me asked if I needed help. The guy who checked me out did not ask if I needed help. For reference I am 67. I am reasonably fit, but it is 90 degrees today. I get to my car and start unloading, then a guy comes out to the parking lot to get carts, walks right by me and doesn’t offer to help. I will only come to this store when I have to. Unmotivated minimal performing employees are an indication of low to no expectations, poor training, and lazy management.

Went in to get weed killer and only had 1 on the shelf. Asked a employee if they were maybe somewhere else. She looked on her locator and found 2 places they were located. I waited 20 minutes later for a forklift operator to bring the pallet down. Total time 45 minutes ! I will not be back. Lowe's has my business this day forward

I just think this is funny. They have a space they adopted in downtown that is a rusted out, box of weeds that have obvious not been touched since they put it in.

We traveled about 15 miles to this location because we wanted to buy an item for which the online site verified that this location had 22 pieces in its inventory. Upon arrival, zero pieces of the item existed. We asked the nearest associate who was sitting down for some assistance. She wasn't even willing to get off her behind. She pointed to a lady at the front of the store who was searching for something on her system. I approached her and she said, "This (her project) is going to be a while." I stated that I only wanted her to page someone for help. She refused. She pointed back at the lady who referred me to her and told me to have her page someone. That lady reconfirmed that it wasn't her responsibility, persistent in her commitment to remain seated, seemingly only interested in conversing with people who cared to listen to her. I walked out and headed to Lowe's, where I got some assistance from a knowledgeable gentleman. Not ONE member of our team will ever step foot into a Home Depot again; nor will they purchase from Home Depot online. I remember, years ago, when a Home Depot opened up in my local vicinity. They put on a big charade and would bring a carriage to each and every customer who walked through the door, as if they couldn't do enough for you. That hospitality was shortlived. I shared that with the Home Depot who was sitting comfortably on her --- and she replied, "Yeah they don't do that anymore." Home Depot, you lost a number of customers permanently as a result of your way of handling them - or, more accurately, avoiding them. Truly, Home Depot represents the epitome of bad customer service.
Read Home Depot's generic response below, which confirms its insensitivity to customer feedback.

My wife bought and picked up a refrigerator from the Seneca, SC Home Depot store. The staff was helpful in loading the refrigerator. I am currently infirm and unable to assist greatly in lifting, but we were able to unload the refrigerator. Unfortunately, once out of the box, we found structural damage at the foundation of the refrigerator. My wife called the store and spoke to the manager, Jill. Jill was unwilling to pick-up and deliver a replacement. My wife even offered to pay for pick-up/delivery, but Jill was unyielding. How about that for dumping a Home Depot-caused problem on the consumer? With struggle, we reloaded the damaged refrigerator into the car and my wife returned to the store to get a replacement. This time, she asked that the box be opened at the store. Lo and behold, the second refrigerator had the same structural damage. A third refrigerator was opened and did not have the damage of the other two. The staff helped to load the refrigerator and my wife drove home. After unloading, we found that a shelf and drawer were damaged. My wife returned a third time to the store. After having to wait in Customer Service, there was initial doubt about retrieving a drawer and shelf from one of the two damaged refrigerators as apparently, they had been loaded in a truck. My wife asked to speak to the manager, Jill, but was told Jill was too busy for her. Jill was preoccupied with store related tasks and would not take a moment to assist in what we consider a grievous customer service failure. While Jill did not prioritize the consumer and did not exemplify the minimum of decency in customer service, the staff did every bit it could to assist. In particular, Linda and Ramon gave great assistance. Until now, we have always had good experiences with Home Depot, but this experience definitely puts an indelible scar on the store brand.

I enjoy Home Depot Stores, but none of them rate up to having in stock for any of your must haves when shopping.
They are very limited compared to Lowe’s.
