Received a flyer in the mail showing an "estimated annual premium" for my Homeowner's Insurance at less than 1/2 of what I currently pay, and their state coverages were higher than my current coverages. When I called, I asked them to be honest with me that this wasn't a "come on" rate to get me to call and Peyton assured me it wasn't. However, after speaking with him for 10 minutes, the quote suddenly went up by more than double, without changing the coverages on the flyer. Wasting my time is bad enough, but if they are this dishonest in their advertising, I can only imagine they cannot be trusted with my insurance.

Got a creepy letter informing me that “according to our records” my home insurance expires soon. I didn’t know this operation was surveilling me, compiling a dossier, and generally sticking it’s nose into my personal business. What kind of information are these weasels collecting and what are they doing with it? Avoid allstate an any other company that doesn’t respect your personal safety and the safety of your family. Anyone who steals your personal info puts your family at risk for identity theft. Let’s boycott these unethical thugs and put them out of business!!!

I WAS a 30+ year home and auto customer of Allstate. This year they decided to increase my homeowners by 25%. My last claim was 13 years ago. I tried talking to the agent. Only canned responses. I contacted Allstate Customer Service. Only canned responses. Only when I made my agent aware I was moving to Statefarm did they want to offer small reductions. Your loyalty means nothing to Allstate. They did me a favor by forcing me to shop my coverage. Equal coverage at Statefarm saved me right at $2,000 a year!
