Truist is a joke. Every time I have deposited a check from my job since I opened my account they have put a week hold on my check to “verify” it. When the checks are coming from the same employer. I also tried to cash my check and was told that if I didn’t have that amount of the check in my account, I couldn’t cash the check. I don’t understand but seriously, people have bills to pay and can’t wait a week plus to get the money they deposit. I absolutely would NOT recommend Truist.

suntrust trimmed their staff down to bare bones years ago. truist is worse. the simpsonville branch is a joke the worst parking ever and cold molasses on the wall slow. when truist took over they started double charging my suntrust mastercard. thanks truist. also the name truist is soooooo lame and weak i miss americian federal / suntrust

Truist bank reports I’ve missed two mortgage payments. Yet, they drafted each month. Complete fraud. I’ve never missed a payment since starting the loan in 2016. Now, after buying out BB&T, Truist completely lied to the credit bureau and for the first time in my life, I have a late payment on my credit report. I would never use Truist . Even after speaking to employees they do not like truist. Time to get an attorney and switch banks.

This bank right here shouldn’t even be in business the workers here are totally disrespectful. They have a nasty attitude that makes you won’t to disrespect them back. Every time you come to this bank whether to cash a check or even drop money off their attitude stank… I don’t have no problem calling Labor of Board or Human Affairs on them at all

I HATE banking here! Since SunTrust merged it has been 1 headache after another! They are slow as molasses running down a wall! You are guaranteed to spend 30+ minutes in the drive thru! I'm currently @ 50 mins!

There are multiple and repeated problems with this Bank (Now Truist) and with this branch. We moved from out of state and changed our address on their telephone system, then ordered new checks. They shipped out checks to our prior address but they were sent back to the check printer. That was it, no notice, no communication from BBT, just no checks. After going to the branch we were told that we had to come in to change our address before ordering checks. That"s nice. No one told us . When I asked it they would waive the shipping costs because of the error the answer was no. Just sorry, would you like to order new checks? So we did. The checks arrived correctly and we used that batch and ordered new checks. We were assured that going forward all would be well. These checks arrived at our correct S.C. address BUT the numbers on them were for checks we had used in the past. They issued new checks with numbers we had written on! Back to the branch we went. Were told that they changed check printers and a mistake occurred! No kidding. We were issued temp checks as we had one left and new checks were ordered. This time they agreed to refund the shipping costs for the 2 previous check orders and we received good customer service. Recently we went to the Simpsonville Branch and found the atm would not dispense money. We experienced this about 2 other times in the past 5 weeks. We went inside to inquire and were told ," Monday was a holiday and we get our atm filled on Monday's, so we are out of money." If we came back in several hours they might have money in the atm as they had called their cash vendor. Monday was Columbus Day. Who knew? It comes the same time every year.Today I went to the branch during business hours and tried to cash a check payable to me from another financial institution. It was 10:45 am. I have about 4 times the check amount in my checking account at Trusit Bank. The teller told me that their system was down and she couldn't access the money to cover the check until 1130 am. So I waited in their parking lot for 45 minutes, returned to the counter and alas they could make change..Why is it ok for them to receive my deposits but when it comes time to cash a check?? This bank is dysfunctional. I am a senior citizen and have been banking for 45 years and have never seen a bank like this. One more thing: I put a complaint on their online system about the checking problem and asked for a response.. You guessed it...NO RESPONSE was received.
