I had two matching chairs upholstered recently at Janice's Upholstery. The shop came recommended and has been in business for many years. I went to pick up chairs and was shocked at what I saw, mismatched skirts by inches and still chalk marks on fabric. Piping not done on diagonal which makes piping wavy. I could continue but bottom line I would never recommend this company.

Best upholstery shop in the upstate. I needed a repair to my boat cover and they helped me out the same day and even did it while I waited. Excellent, fast work. Great people. Highly recommend!

Briefly, summer of 2022 by telephone I arranged for Janis to make new cover for my boat. In December Janis picked up my boat from the indoor storage unit, and took it to their shop. New cover was made and 5 weeks later boat returned to indoor storage unit. 6 weeks later my mechanic went to unit to summarize boat anf found app. 300 gallons of water in back compartments of boat(including engine compartment). Obviously the water was rain water while boat was at Janis. The mechanic needed to do 2 oil changes to get all the water out of the engine. Then I spent several hundred dollars to have inside detailed to get moisture and smell out of boat.I discussed above with folks at Janis weekly for 5 weeks. Janis indicates the events that happened are solely my responsibility because they have signs at the shop indicating it is the owners responsibility to pull drain plug. I never was informed verbally or in writing of this responsibility. And, again, I arranged for them to do the work by telephone (on a recommendation by someone I trust). Months later, after arranging them to do the work I did stop by their shop for 5 minutes to drop off color sample for cover. I did not see any signs and, again, no one told me to make sure drain plug was pulled. And , once again, I paid Janis to pick up boat and return to storage unit since we are not at lake in the winter.In summary, Janis feels the $750 I spent to get the boat right is entirely my responsibility. And hopefully no long term damage happened to the engine. Sorry for lengthy post

I have engaged Janice to reupholster much of my furniture from porch to 18th Century antiques. Being impacted by the tornado, I lost a favorite rocker's "new" upholstery that Janice had done a couple of years prior. The chair now looks more beautiful than it ever has with her restorative work and NEW fabric. I don't think you will be disappointed with her work.See the "after tornado" picture and the "restored" picture: beautiful!

Prices are ridiculously high for even simple reupholster work. Turn around time for one chair bottom was quoted at 3 to 4 months ! This firm caters to the wealthy residing at The Reserve, etc. Drive up to the workshop and see all the high dollar boats waiting to be serviced ! Avoid this shop ! Ex: my single Victorian chair bottom repair was quoted at $150. I then let Larry and Son upholstery shop in Easley do the same work for $12, yes 12 (twelve) dollars and could not be more pleased. Larry had my chair returned to me in 2 (two) hours ! Fair warning...
