They charged me $360 in overdraft fees because their system didn’t update and due to a hold that I had no control over. It takes transactions days to post which hold your account hostage. It’s almost as if they want you to overdraft so that they can charge you fees. When I called they were condescending and told me they didn’t care if I closed my account. They offered no effective solutions. Predatory banking practices and not willing resolve disputes. Does not offer services for everyday American consumers. If you’re looking for a bank to help you and your family look elsewhere. This bank looks for any excuse to take your hard earned money. Not a bank for the everyday American.

They kept blocking my card for small purchases while I was deployed, but let someone hack my account and take over $3k. I called several times to fix it. They kept saying they’re going to email me a form, but They never send it.Now that I’m not deployed, they keep blocking my card again. They don’t even have a way to verify purchases on the App. So I get stuck on vacation with no access to my money, and there is no way to get it. You can try calling, but all you get is a machine that doesn’t help you resolve your problem.If you want to keep your money safe, don’t use this bank. They only block legit purchases and allow obvious fraudulent purchases through.If you want to have access to the money that you work for don’t use this bank. I had to cut my vacation short because of themI would give 0 stars if possible.

The message I sent corporate: "YOUR IT, APP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORSE! TRYING TO MAKE PAYMENT- PAY OFF PAYMENT- WHAT BANK CAN'T TAKE A PAYMENT??!! This is an unbelievable experience. I am 2 hours from a branch, I have spent the last hour trying to pay off my loan. Online, I had to ask it repeatedly to text or call me a number to verify me to make the payment. I finally receive the code and it said "payment amount exceeds the daily limit of an external transfer". Then, I tried calling in to pay by phone and they refused to take the payment BECAUSE THE CSR SAID I DID NOT SOUND LIKE A MAN! I verified my social, my account number, my DOB and my address and previous address flawlessly and she accused me of not being a man and said she would not take my payment that I would have to travel 2 hours to a branch to pay off my loan!!!! Your algorithm should be deciding my gender (Account #, SS#, DOB# Address, etc), not the assumptions and judgements of your CSRs. ALL OF THIS OVER MAKING A PAYMENT??!! SCFEDCU's archaic IT and customer service has been horrible for all 3 years. I want to pay-off ASAP and never deal with you again."

So far so good with this credit union. They were very helpful when I needed to get a home equity loan. The process to get my home equity loan was very fast and the people I worked with were very nice and professional. The people at the local branch are very nice and helpful. My experience with this credit union is far better than the other bank I also have an account with.

Absolutely, NEVER do a mortgage with this bank!!!!No need to reach out, I have 6 times, with no response. I will be moving my business elsewhere, soon as possible

Ridiculous fees for everything. You have to pay for checking, and with premium checking, all you get is "priority" phone service. It takes a lot to disappoint me, but they have managed to do it in very little time. Switching banks ASAP.

I remembered the SC Credit Union only as I researched a (pre-owned) auto loan. I'm glad I did; after verifying rates with other lending institutions, it was the credit unit that easily won me over! The customer service was beyond reproach. The terms of the loan were superior to any other. The local branch near me helped me complete the paperwork in record time. I had my check in hand within 2 hours. Great rate, superior service, no fees.I encourage everyone to check them out!

Supposedly a Credit Union, but will nickel and dime you just like one of the big banks. Ever since they bought out our local Credit Union it’s been new fees here, another fee there. Employees that were kept over are great. Otherwise, you really get the feeling they just don’t care.Edit: In response to the owner, this review was written after several calls to the call center, which was the basis for this review.
