The car salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable about the purchase I was thinking about. The Outback is very impressive. "Robert A" was very good about explain the warranty, etc. and the other forms of protection you can get. Actually, the whole staff was great.

Hi everyone! A few weeks ago now, I was interested in purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership. I worked with salesman Jonathan. He kept communication going and had quickly sent me the breakdown of the OTD (out the door) price, which I found impressive. What was even more impressive was there were no add-ons! Although I didn’t wind up purchasing from here (someone bought the vehicle before I could but it worked out because I found another elsewhere), I wanted to let everyone know just based on my experience, these folks are worth doing business with. After losing the vehicle, Rachel reached out as well (Jonathan still kept in contact too); both offered assistance if I needed it. Thank you Jonathan & Rachel for being kind folks. You all deserve this 5-star review and the dealership deserves it for not charging ridiculous add-on fees. ?

Went to Subaru Spartanburg, to scoped out a used Subaru Outback, a sale person which takes us time and answering any questions, included a test drive, on the road and off the road, making up the paper works took longer than normal, even after their closing time, but everything went great, I recommend the dealership, if you go for a reliable car/SUV, plenty of stock and in any colors, new or used, I would say, feel free to drop by, and scope out like we did..

Update: One of the items that Subaru of Spartanburg found defective was the rear window washer, they said the line was clogged and the cost to repair it was $180. We declined, and later checked it, and found it was working, just the line was dry and it took a few seconds for the fluid to reach the rear window. They are so busted! Do not fall victim to the unethical business practices in the Service Dept!~~~~~~~~~~~We're already missing Vic Bailey Subaru! Like other Hudson Automotive Group dealerships we have experienced, Subaru of Spartanburg really likes to "stick it to you" when taking a vehicle in for service. We were leery with the announcement and change of ownership last month. Sure enough, as anticipated, they found quite a list of problems that needed repair when taking our car in for a oil change. Hogwash! We've cared for this car meticulously. In one visit, Subaru of Spartanburg has lost our trust and our future business. Watch out for Hudson Automotive Group dealerships!

I recently had an exceptional experience at Subaru of Spartanburg. After my car needed repairs, not only did they fix it efficiently, but they also provided a loaner car for my convenience. Remarkably, when I had a minor accident with the loaner, they were incredibly understanding and didn't charge me extra. Their focus on customer care and understanding truly sets them apart. Highly recommended for their top-notch service and compassionate approach!

I had a lot of experience with the previous owner, Vic Bailey. I have purchased several cars from Stephen (awesome person to work with in sales) and have always use the service department to care for my vehicles. On my first visit to the service department after the buy-out, I had a concern about my service. I reached out to the GM, Hal Foster. He listened attentively and handled my concern more than satisfactorily. I left feeling confident about the future of the new management.Here’s to many years of working together!Kudos

This was the best car buying experience I've ever had. I worked with Seth in sales and a super nice guy in finance whose name I forget. Seth sent me a video of the vehicle before I made the drive from out of town. Everyone I interacted with at the dealership was friendly, professional, and patient, and not overbearing or pushy. They stayed after hours to finalize my financing. I feel like I got a very fair price on the car, and I really love my new ride.

Absolutely recommend Subaru of Spartanburg - Shannon W. made what is usually a miserable experience a very pleasant experience. She didn’t sell us the car, she spent time with us until we had all the information we needed to make the best decision for us. After the purchase, she spent an additional 15 minutes aiding in setting up the infotainment system and making sure we knew how to use everything. Well done Shannon. My grandmother has been getting her Subaru serviced here for years. They have been randomly finding issues with her vehicle for years, but this time was awful! She went for a simple oil change and was told she had a leak that would cost her $3500. The same leak would have cost near $1500 anywhere else. They gave her a rental while they repaired her car, point for that, but a repair that should have taken no more than a week ended up taking over three weeks. Over the course of that time they never called unless my aunt called them. It was like pulling teeth for my aunt to get anyone on the phone to find out what was going in with the car. When it was finally fixed they told my grandma she needed another repair making her total $5000. They also told her they had changed owners and would no longer honor her rental, but made an exception after some talking to. After near a month and $5000 we are all left the with feeling that this dealership took advantage of my grandma. Beyond that, their unwillingness to keep anyone up to date on the progress of her vehicle is insane. My grandmother trusted the Subaru dealership to take care of her, but so far as I can tell all they have done is take her to the cleaners.

I have been coming here for 7 years. I understand the place changed ownership recently. I made an appt for 1100. I arrived a bit early so I didn't create any delays. I waited 10 minutes while TWO service advisors fiddle with the display in the car in front of me. When one advisor finally broke loose, I politely said I have an 1100 oil change appt. I was told appts were delayed 2.5 hours. I explained I drove 30 miles to this appt. Could I run errands, keep my place in line when I return. NO. I would be put at the back of the line. I was told people who had oil changes with inspections decided to have more work done. (Apparently and oddly, at this dealership oil change personal do major vehicle work as well.) No apology from the short cocky man, no compensation, just an offer to reschedule, no compensation for my 60-mile round-trip and no value for my personal time. I believe the service department knew before I left home that they were backed up or maybe even shortstaffed. A courtesy call or a less cocky attitude would have gone a long way for me. My travel time and gas funds are valuable to me. I will not be back.
