I was inquiring about a car, and that I would come by and see it later that day. Before arriving I messaged I was on the way, and got out to get some help. The car was not ready to be seen since it had not been serviced yet, so Im assuming no one checked either time about the car when I did reach out. We waited for them to bring the car from the back because I still wanted to see it. Everything was fine, but when my husband asked about the belt noise, it was brushed off that it was sitting in the cold a few days and that's why (but it just arrived??). I was looking for the salesman to take the initiative to say, "im not sure, it hasn't been serviced but we can look into that for you", but just made an excuse. He said it would be serviced the next day and would let us know. When I called because I never heard back from my text the next morning, the salesman was off (that would of been good to know, if I was waiting for a follow up). I called and asked if I could have a different salesperson because I just wanted someone else, and he said yes, but he wasn't very concerned about why I wanted to switch or when I explained why he seemed unmoved (it felt impersonal). I didn't go back and went elsewhere and purchased a car. Just some feedback for hopefully better customer service in the future at this dealership.

I had the most wonderful experience at this dealership. From the first interaction via email to the moment I drove off the lot in my new car, I received nothing but courtesy! Salesman Jonathan was friendly, patient, and informative. Frank Carr, the sales manager, went ABOVE and BEYOND my expectations to ensure I left with the car I chose today! They treated me with the utmost respect even though I don't have exemplary credit. If you need a car and want top-notch service- stop by and see these gentlemen!!!

DO NOT SHOP AT MAZDA OF SPARTANBURG!!!! I have a brand new 2023 Cx-30 I’ve had two problems in the last 8 months with this car! Now it’s showing a engine malfunction. You can’t tell how much gas you have in the car but it is still drivable! I took it back to them today they tried to charge me for 5,000 to fix to wires that they say are chewed. I HAD TO PAY ALMOST $300 JUST FOR THEM TO GIVE ME THE CAR BACK. BECAUSE WE ARGUED WITH THR GUY AT THE SERVICE DESK I HAD MY PHONE LAYING ON THE DESK THE GUY THAT WAS WORKING WITH US STOLE MY PHONE WHEN I TURNED AROUND FOR 2 SECONDS. ME AND MY HUSBAND SPOKE TO HIM AND SEVERAL MANAGERS ABOUT MY PHONE BEING STOLEN THEY SAID THEY DIDNT HAVE CAMERAS WHERE WE WERE. WE WERE THERE AN HOUR AND THE GUY I WAS DEALING WITH WALKED BEHIND MY HUSBAND TRUCK AND LAID MY PHONE ON THE VERY BACK OF THE TRUCK. DO NOT BUY CARS FROM THEM!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND CHILDISH!!

I will never purchase another car from Vic Bailey or any of their dealerships and recommend that you don't either. Salespeople are all wonderful when they're trying to sell you something. Its what happens after that counts.They have radically changed their pricing and position and attitude in dealing with service customers.Here is the story:I purchased a 2018 Mazda CX-9 new and it was a great car buying experience. So good that I went to buy another one but settled on a VW also from Vic Bailey VW instead. I was very loyal to the dealerships and recommended them to all. With the Mazda I also bought an extended warranty, ten years or 100k miles and as I remember it was $1500. I began having the Mazda serviced at VB. I have purchased new cars and never use a dealer for service but the people at VB were just too nice and the prices were reasonable and I had an apple carplay installed in the Mazda, after purchase, at VB. What began happening a few months ago is that the entertainment system ( the display on console) will reboot itself 2 to 3 to 4 times and eventually function properly. Happens most often when a usb cord ( needed for carplay) is plugged in. If you have a map displayed you will lose it when it reboots and the reboot last 2-3 minutes.You then have to unplug and replug the usb in.Its very annoying and the car now has 75k miles so I wanted to get this fixed. I called VB told them of the problem and wanted an appt. They informed me that there will be a $155 diagnostic charge to determine the issue. Once determined if it is covered by the extended warranty they won't charge but if its not I will need to pay the $155. I told them I didnt think that was right or fair. I wanted to know if it was under warranty and if not what the repair cost will be. I told them I had brought the car in to check if I needed brakes. They looked, told me no and there was no charge, whats the difference? At that point the service person started telling me that the old people are no longer there, that they were giving things away for free and that they have to pay the salaries of the repair techs. I asked to speak to the service manager and really received the same speech. He wasn't rude but was stern and uncompromising. Again he blamed the old service people and mentioned the service guys or gals needed to get paid. I told him that whatever VB had been doing he was able to build his company into a group of 4 or 5 different brand car dealerships and I don't think I need to feel bad becasue that VB wasn't making enough money. How do you go from one dealership to 4 or 5 if you don't know what your'e doing.VB is in the process of being sold and the new owners will take over in about a month. It is really a shame becasue they were a pleasure to deal with. I think VB has forgotten what business theyr'e in. They need to sell cars before they can service them and they have lost me as a customer and caused this review over a diagnostic charge of $155, hard to believe it's worth it.

Very pleased with this dealership. Especially with my Salesman, Anthony Murphy. This is the 2nd vehicle I’ve purchased from Vic Bailey Mazda and Anthony. Happy both times!

This was the best car buying experience I have ever had, by A LOT. I will be recommending this place to anyone. Working with Howie S. was effortless. He, along with every single staff member that I interacted with, went above and beyond, far past expectations, in every way, to make a seamless interaction with me from start to finish. The whole establishment seems to be really well managed, the staff seemed genuinely well managed and to actually like each other. I am so happy with everything from start finish working with them. Ask for Howie!

I bought my Mazda CX-5 in this center in 2022 and was satisfied with the service and staff. I had some issues but I saw people tried to help. I have another Mazda Dealership and Service Center closer to me but I was continuing to come to Vic Bailey Mazda. Today I was shocked with the service.1. I came for the oil change. I asked last time when anything extra needs to be done and I was told it will be only after 10K more miles. When I came I was told I need $750 maintenance. I was really confused.2. The car was returned dirty. With service stuff left inside, oil stains throughout the car, and awfully oily dirty driving wheel. I wasn't even asked if I wanted my car to be washed and I wasn't notified that this service is only under request now. Also, my car still smells like some service fuels or liquid.3. I didn't receive a message with a video that my service had begun.4. The car system was set up for the 5-month/5 K miles for the next service, but the sticker shows 7-month/6K. I don't know what information is correct.5. Overall, I didn't feel anybody tried to help me. I felt more like I had to prove and figure out everything by myself. I didn't expect that at all.I have a long trip ahead and now I can't trust my car because I don't trust a service that makes so many mistakes. How may I be sure that everything was done right?I also shared this feedback with Vic Bailey but never heard anything regarding this back.

I will not be returning to this dealership which is sad considering they were the only ones that previously serviced my car. I was charged over $600.00 for a 60k miles service. I was told that the spark plugs were replaced, the coolant was flushed and repaired, oil and filter were changed. Upon arriving I was told the previous employees of the service dept including the service manager were all fired as they had been charging for work that was never completed and intentionally misleading customers. When I informed the service writer that I want the services completed that I had paid for I was told that I would have to pay again. I asked how that was fair to pay twice he said because they never did the service, what they charged was not what the service costs. He showed me their rate sheet. I asked how that was my fault. He apologized and basically stuck to the fact I would need to pay again. If I have to pay again I will get the work done somewhere else. I’m sorry but once trust has been broken it’s next to impossible to get it back. I can only hope the oil and filter were changed as promised today. Good luck if you have your vehicle serviced at this dealership.

Bought our 2023 CX30 here today. If you are looking for a new car , this is the place to go! Seth was amazing to deal with! He was super knowledgeable, professional and friendly! Frank the finance guy was an absolute pleasure to deal with also! This was the best experience we’ve ever had buying a car over the years! Will definitely be returning here from now on for anything car related just because of how amazing Seth and Frank made the process!

I’ve had my vehicle serviced here since 2019 with no issues. Staff polite and helpful and knowledgeable mechanics. I was informed when I first got there the whole team of service writers and service manager had been fired and replaced. I went for oil change , cabin filter change and tire rotation and balance. When checking out I told the service writer I didn’t receive a video ( I’ve always received a video while they are inspecting my vehicle) and he said he would check on it. Still never received. After getting on the interstate I noticed my car had a severe shake. We were leaving town that evening and my husband confirmed what I felt was unbalanced tires. We had to take to another dealership to correct the problem. Every tire was balanced incorrectly. My husband spoke with Vic Bailey and they agreed to compensate us for the correction.

Usually have nothing to complain about when I go here. They do a great job, had routine maintenance done tons of times. Usually they do a complimentary car wash and vacuum the interior. This time they wiped down the outside but that's about it. Service was fast. Technician was hard to understand though because he mumbles.

If I could give negative stars for the experience today I would. I called in two weeks ago to schedule a service that included all of the recommended issues from my oil change appointment. My first issue is they had no clue what what their own mechanic recommended. So I watched the video to make sure I knew everything they needed to do. Then after scheduling I said ok you’re going to have the tires right , you haven’t asked which ones I wanted. She then said uh no you’ll have to tell parts .. umm ok .. she was about to hang up the phone on me. Today was the day of the appointment. Our little girl is sick and at home so Matt took the car in and on his day off for our 10:30 appointment. By 1:30 the car still had not been touched. They said the master mechanic was out today and the person that scheduled didn’t know. Ok but why didn’t they say that three hours ago? Why didn’t they give a timeline when they knew someone was waiting with the vehicle? Did they offer any sort of compensation for his time they wasted? Nope just said they couldn’t change the past. They have no clue what’s going on .. I’m done with that place. Customers make a business. Time is valuable . Poor poor management.

I took my Mazda CX-9 to get service recently at Vic Bailey Mazda. The communication was stellar from start to finish. Sally kept in touch with me throughout the whole process. The video inspection was great. It gave a clear idea of all the services needed without any surprises. In addition to the great service received, they honored a coupon that had a misprint on it. Sally quickly checked on the coupon and took the discount off without any hesitation. Will definitely use Vic Bailey in the future. Thank you Sally and Vic Bailey.
