I contracted Lowes to do an installation of a fence. I walked around with the guy who did the measurement and cautioned him to make sure the sprinklers were on the inside of the fence. Based on his drawing it looked safe to say the measurements were correct and the sprinkler heads would be inside. The installation had to be postponed on the 16th because oops they forgot to deliver the materials or they delivered the materials elsewhere. They planned to arrive on Friday. Friday morning I got a call saying they were running behind and would be there by 10:30 or 11:00am. At around 12:45 pm, they showed up. At about 3.30 pm, the installers left because they forgot 2 corner posts. They finished the job the next day or not because they forgot 2 caps for the fence posts. When I examined the work, I realized that had fenced out not one, not two, but 3 of my sprinkler heads. I called the installer who said they could not move the fence and I needed to call an irrigation guy to adjust the sprinkler heads. The fence sits in front of my property line marked by the edge of my house. Had they used the edge of my house we would not have had an issue. The customer device agent stated that the installers completed the job per the contract. No one came to check. They went by the drawing. So I am paying an irrigation guy to relocate my sprinkler heads. This was a shoddy job, unreliable contractor and poor customer relations.

Lowes is terrible in sumter always dirty can't find anything never get help that the reason I order from home depot amd have a commercial account there. Customer service in Lowes in. Sumter is terrible also prices are higher then other Lowes because there only place in town.

Ordered LVP and install. Was difficult to locate any store associates for assistance. Most of them appear to actively avoid helping customers. Took 3 months for materials to arrive. There were constant system issues. Contractors installed white 3/4 round along wood colored flooring and dark wood baseboards because that is what Lowe’s provided them with. We now have a weird white stripe around our great room floor. Could not get anyone from Lowe's on the phone while the contractors were here. So drove 30 min to Lowes and waited another 30 for someone to help me. The manager, Spencer’s solution was for me to take home several 12ft lengths of unfinished pine 3/4 round. I was upset that I would now have to stain them myself or wait months for the correct materials to arrive. Also had to explain multiple times that I could not fit 12’ lengths in my car and they would need to deliver. They promised to deliver Monday. They did not. Went to Lowe's again as they did not return my calls. Had to chase Spencer around the store as he said he would be back to help me but never returned. When I found him again, he would not make eye contact with me and ignored me the first few times I spoke to him. Then he suddenly apologized for the lack of delivery and said the 3/4 round would be delivered next Monday. This morning Lowe's delivered ONE 6’ length of WHITE painted 3/4 round. Not the 100+ feet of unfinished pine we ordered. Completely fed up with the utter incompetence of Spencer and the Lowes team, we got a trailer and picked up our materials ourselves. We still do not have a date scheduled to remove and install the new 3/4 round and I am worried we will have to do that ourselves as well even though we paid Lowe's thousands to install the flooring properly. Do not recommend.

It is unfortunate that Lowes is the only option in a place with so many people. They can continue to mess things up and be a nightmare to deal with and it will never change. This is the second time we have bought an appliance and then canceled it. We needed a new washer asap. We picked one we could get today. Got a confirmation saying it would be ready in 3 hours. Then we got the 'ready for pickup' text/email. We make the drive and unsurprisingly we were told it won't be ready until tomorrow. My husband canceled the order. Last time was almost the exact same scenario.

Most of the employees are friendly but overworked. It is now 0945 am. I am waiting on an online order I placed at 1243 yesterday.
This is not a dig on the employees. I see them working hard to fill online orders. But it is frustrating that there aren't enough for the workload.
I rely heavily on this store for home projects and am grateful they are in Sumter. They do have room to improve in the service aspects.

Great Lowe's location. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about but it seems like a lot of people are being soft and nitpicky. They clearly haven't been to a lot of home improvement stores because this one is in great shape and the staff was mostly helpful.

If I could give Lowe’s zero stars I would. They convinced us to purchase a credit card through them with a promotion of no interest for the first 12 months. Come to find out we have still been being charged the interest because their employee rung up the transaction wrong and did not give us the promotion. When we called to tell them about their mistake they were unwilling to fix their mistakes and honestly giving false advertisement. I recommend using Home Depot.

The associate in the fencing area was condescending. The cashier in the garden center wasn't pleasant and seemed irritated. It was very busy. The only bright spot was 5 marigolds for $5.
