You get a because I can't leave a review without giving you at least 1. Put my script on hold and not tell me? You determine it shouldn't be filled, yet don't contact me AT ALL! I find out by looking at the app. Call to ask why. On hold for 30 minutes. Get in car and drive to the store. Still on hold, mind you. Walk up and ask if phones work. Yes ma'am. Really? So you just ignore them? Refuse to answer? Ok then. Why don't you contact me to let me know you've decided to hold my script?? Ma'am, we can't call every person who ... no , Sherlock! Why do you think I was CALLING YOU?? So it's a whole phone issue! Is that it?? No more. Never ever ever again. #ChristmasPharmacy ONLY from here on out.

The pharmacy staff is not friendly. Mostly rude and not people persons. Staff should be much friendly when working with people. Totally understand that Sumter is not the best area to live but all people should be treated with respect and divinity. The pharmacist was rude and unapproachable.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! They refuse to release my prescription or fill it. I had surgery 2 weeks ago and this was supposed to help with my comfort level, but this nazi pharmacist obviously has more to say than the surgeon who performed the surgery! Very unprofessional. Told me "you don't have to be ugly" when I stated the surgeon prescribed the med and the pharmacist is refusing to fill it!

The worst pharmacy I've ever I used. I've never waited less than 30 minutes in line for a prescription that is already filled. Sitting in the drive thru now going on 45 minutes.

I am relatively new to the area. Finally got a doctor who gave me 4 prescriptions. I picked this CVS because I had great service at the one I used to use. Took forever to even get them to take my prescriptions. Then they told me it would be ~90 min. Before they would be filled, they said they would text me. 90 min came and went, no text. So I went back. Luckily they were filled. I had to back for another prescription. Dropped it off, they said 2 hours! I said I'll come back the next day. Go back on my lunch break. The idiot never turned in the prescriptions to get filled. He said it would take 45 min. Since I was on my lunch break, I had to come back AGAIN! God help you if you ever have to call them. I spent ~30-45 min on hold!! Luckily I was able to transfer my stuff to mail-order. Every 90-days for a year, auto pay, and not having to deal with these morons is manna from heaven.

This location is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. I have used CVS in other states and not experienced the problems I have experienced at this location. The knowledge of the employees and pharmacists is less than average, at best. I was insulted by the pharmacist yesterday in getting a prescription filled and she offered no advise and the pharmacy does not seem to know how to handle different insurance companies. I ended up paying full price for a drug that, according to my insurance company, was never presented to them for payment. I tried to call them to resolve the issue after discovering they had not submitted to my insurance and, after, 31 minutes waiting for the pharmacy to pick up the call, I hung up. When I was in the store, I heard a front end employee come back to tell the pharmacy that a pharmacy employee had called into the front to call in sick, since she had been trying to get through to the pharmacy on the phone for an hour, with no response. Never again!!!

The absolute worst pharmacy of all time!!!! The wait time is ridiculous, get some more help people!! It not just today, but every time, embarrassing! Please stay away, not sure if they can handle any more customers than they already have!

Have been dealing with CVS on Alice Drive forever, seems like there is never enough people working there, yes it is a busy store but still neglecting customers waiting in the store, or at the drive through also on the phone, half the the time you are waiting for fifteen minutes for someone to answer your question. Today the phone rang and of course it was a recording to say a med had been denied and to call your doctor, had no prescriptions that needed to be okayed. Received a second call don't say who it is for, then when it was answered it said everyone is busy to call back in a few hours. Is this anyway to run a business, if there isn't enough people hire some more surly the store is making money, at least someone to answer phones and answer questions, and someone to run the drive through, thanks. There has to be a better system for this store.

After today, I will switch my prescriptions to a totally different pharmacy chain. I called in a prescription at lunch time yesterday. I specifically asked if I could pick it up around 6:00 PM on my way home from work. I was told I could. When I got there, my prescription was not ready. I couldn't wait, so I went back on my lunch break today. You guessed it. Still not ready! No explanation, no apology, just it's not ready. I had to return to work and couldn't stand around and wait along with the 15 or so other people already standing around and waiting. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE SERVICE! DON'T TELL ME IT WILL BE READY 6 HOURS FROM NOW AND THEN IT'S STILL NOT READY MORE THAN 24 HOURS LATER.

This is one of our busiest drugstores. The pharmacy can be taxing on wait times, but "know when to go"--Tuesday's and Thirdays--around 10 AM, usually work. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And CVS spews put a bunch of Extra Bucks coupons and sales info quite often . It's very convenient for the west side of Sumter City.

Other than the location, this has to be one of the worst managed CVS stores I have visited. I hate to be the first to write a bad review but the service in this store could be improved. For example, they have 3 registers in front, I've only seen one opened regardless of the number of people in line. Weeks ago the line was long and the cashier, a new employee, called for help up front. The lady came up looked at the line and told her in a whisper, "Don't call anyone to open another register". Several others heared this also. The Pharmacy is always crowded behind the counter with 4 or 5 workers, yet only one will help you regardless of how many customers are waiting. Do not expect your refill to be ready regardless of when you phoned it in. Also when someone pulls up to the drive thru they immediately put the customers who have been waiting inside on hold while they go to the window. This is because, as explained to me by an employee, the drive thru window is timed and that is what the store is graded on. Since then I visit Walgreens'
