Beautiful homes

After several attempts to book a discovery weekend and look at homes in the community with no response, we engaged an outside realtor to show us available properties. Found a house in the Reserve that we liked but still wanted to do a discovery weekend to see if we liked the community and amenities. Since we are working with an outside realtor they will not allow us to do this unless we work with their inside realtor.Had the Reserve responded to our multiple requests in the first place, we wouldn’t have had to find another realtor.

Snaking through the back woodsy roads of South Carolina in route to deliver some goods to a place that is nothing more than a name on a paper initially. I make my last turn as commanded by my bossy GPS gal and I am met with a steep driveway and large ornate gates….outta absolutely nowhere. Do you remember as a kid (unless you are still a kid) when you find yourself somewhere that you know you are not supposed to be but something inside tells you to go further? Almost like prom night…hmmm. Anyway. That adolescent inkling is what arose as I pulled forward towards these massive gates and guardhouse. I rolled down my window ready to apologize for making the wrong turn and a not so pleasant person came out of the door and validated my feelings of being in the “wrong place”. Felt more like I was the wrong person in the wrong place. Anyway…I was questioned heavily as one would expect but after the “gentleman” took my papers inside to make some calls I was notified in a smug fashion that I was indeed in the right place for my delivery. “Go Ahead!” he grumbled. The gates opened. My eyes opened. My mouth opened. This was one of the most beautiful places I have seen!! Quick twisty roads. Magnificent Mountain and Lake View’s that resemble living in a painting rather than the real world. Amenities were aplenty and the massive homes are worth millions. If you are lucky enough to live in a community like this…and most importantly if you are “welcome” into a community like this…even the most tumultuous of days should feel like a minuscule blip on the radar. The architectural vision for the The Reserve was executed flawlessly and Lake Keowees beautiful scape breeds eternal smiles. Once inside…Life is Art and Art is Life. The key is getting in…-Real#realreviewseverything #homes #lakefront #southcarolina #views

Looking to relocate, so we visited the Reserve in SC. Resale inventory was essentially non existent, and am not disposed to a two year build. This is a development I can highly recommend and depending on market changes could easily see living here

Atmosphere and the members are great. We became friends with 3 different member's (everyone we met that lives there was awesome!) who showed us around and the place is beautiful. The service was awful though, every single staff member from the concierge desk, to managers to the dining staff were all worthless and frankly rude. After spending a few days and conversing with the members we met all of them confirmed for me though that they have been struggling on service for years. They all said if the lake was not there, there is not much else to offer...I was looking to be a member and we had our eyes on a lot but will not be after our experience.

Fantastic community that happens to border one of the cleanest water lakes in the country. World class amenities and the owners/ members are welcoming to everyone.

Overall experience was underwhelming. Interacted with a staff member that was definitely drunk on the job. We ordered the same dish twice within the same week and they came out different each time. Overheard staff asking someone if they were a republican it seemed like they had no choice but say yes and their response was “oh ok you are good.”As a independent I was appalled. What would have happen if they have said no?? Scary someone could walk into this place have a moderate political view and possibly treated horribly.

They offer a great range of fresh food. I liked eating here. The employees are always friendly, prices are reasonable and the spot is always kept clean.
