I will say that my initial experience with the national call center seemed to be OK until we arrived at the facility after hours and saw that our storage unit was an elevated storage container. I had viewed the facility via goggle earth and questioned it's accessibility, the customer service person reassured me that it was directly accessible from the asphalt drive and our golf cart would have no problem driving right in. She also said that she had previously worked at the facility was very familiar with this particular unit unfortunately I believe she was just trying to rent a unit and said whatever it took to do so.
My next call with the call center went much better, I explained my situation and the customer service person immediately found us an accessible unit for our golf cart just steps away from the original unit.
The next day we stopped in and met Walter the manager on duty. He was very apologetic and wanting to figure out how this could happen. He went as far as reviewing the recorded phone calls to verify who was responsible for mis-informing us. He also confirmed that you do not have to purchase their insurance (unlike the first customer service person requested) as long as you have storage coverage thru your homeowner policy. With all that transpired would still give Prime Storage (Surfside Beach, SC) a five star rating due to how we were ultimately treated by Walter. Good job Walter!
