About Lee Falls Trailhead
Lee Falls Trailhead offers a fantastic and amazing experience for those seeking a secluded and beautiful hike. The trail provides serenity with surprisingly few people and allows for a peaceful connection with nature. The walk is smooth for most of the time, starting off easy, but it is not well-maintained. The last section becomes a hard, challenging, and technical trail, involving rock crawling through a gorge and several creek crossings with loose, slippery, and shallow rocks where feet can get wet. This ruggedness is not ideal for beginners or the out of shape explorer. The beautiful waterfall is absolutely worth the effort, and it can be seen from afar for those with dogs or children who cannot make the final climb. The area has limited parking, but also lots of parking for large vehicles. There are no fees, no restrooms, and dogs are welcome on leashes. Due to storm damage like fallen trees, the access is complicated and dangerous. Hikers should be prepared, take a friend, have a cellphone, and wear hiking boots. It is a great choice for experienced hikers and adventurers.

Great little hike thru two meadows and a short wooded hike to an interesting waterfall with nice high rock walls. Lot of downed trees covering several spots on trail due to storm damage so be prepared to go over, around or under.

1/10 do not recommend going in the snow. Hurricane Helene really did a number on this place.
Fall count = 5
Diddy tree = 1
I now know what my parents went through to get to school in the mornings. Took us 2 hours to hike 3 miles. Could not safely access waterfall.

Be carefull, due to storm Helene, the access to the fall is really complicated and dangerous (fallen trees). If you like hiking and adventures you can try to do the trail. If you are not an experimented hiker, be carefull.
