Small Impression is truly the best! My son has attended the daycare, after school, and summer camp program since 2018. The director and staff are really motivated to engage the children, parents, and community through various events and programs. Some of the useful programs I’ve attended throughout the years were the parenting and budgeting classes. Over the years my son was able to participate in a free Golf Clinic, attend his first hockey game, and go on a college tour. Mrs LaVonda has provided so many experiences that a normal daycare or child development center would not offer. I am pleased with my son’s growth as an individual and all the interest he’s gain just from the exposure provided by Small Impressions. We will truly miss Mrs LaVonda and her staff and grateful for their attention and care provided.

I wish I could put 10 starts. Mrs. LaVonda - and everyone at Small Impressions- are just amazing. I’ll pick up my child at the very end of the day and she wishes she could stay longer to play! Also, during a family crisis, they were ALL there for me, supported me and my children. And you have never seen a graduation in your life like the one they put on for the PreSchoolers!! :)Honestly Don’t know what I would do without them.. can’t say enough, they are simply all angels.

The owner is terrible towards her employers and parents. My middle son who has been attending since he was 2 months was let go from the center due to behavioral issues in the 3 year old class, that was fine. I attempted to give them a 2 week notice for withdrawing my other two sons that is requested in their handbook after speaking with Mr. D. They sent my youngest son home with his all of items. I contacted the owner she told me she did not speak to Mr.D then asked for me to apologize to her. I will be filling every complaint I can think of. I have been loyal to this business for years now and this is how I am being treated. Even one of these reviews are from Mr. D lol. My kids learned well here but I will never recommend anyone else.

Best decision I ever made to have my child attend this daycare. The teachers work so well with the kids. They always update about your child's progress. If we didn't have to move out of state I would have put my child in the after school program. Than you small impressions for everything you do. Mr.d, ms. Lavonda and miss. Austin thank you for doing what you do we will miss you.

Kids went from loving it, to hating it very quickly. The head caretaker is very aggressive with the display of discontent for job and other kids.

I moved to South Carolina in 2018. And when I moved here I looked for a daycare that would be reasonably priced, family oriented, and able to accommodate my work schedule and my kids needs. When I came to Small Impressions I found everything and more that I was looking for in a daycare. I have four kids and two of them had a hard time adjusting to the move to another state. The staff first assured me they they would work with them on this big transition and they did that and exceeded my expectations on care. The director is involved in all aspects of the kids at the center from educational development and accomplishments. During my first 3 months at the center she made pop up visits at my kids school to check on them and congratulate them on their educational accomplishments. She has been helpful to me with suggesting programs for my children. The staff that she has working for her aren’t just employees you can tell they are family oriented and genuinely care about the impact they have on children. Each staff member takes the time out to work directly with your child and involves parents every step of the way. During this pandemic she has offered a program at the center that allows your child to do e-learning at the center if you don’t feel comfortable with your child returning to school. She has certified teachers in her facility that make sure that each child is still on track academically in her program along with her staff assistance. I have a 4 year old that will be attending the 4K program. When I spoke to Greenville county schools about the program Small Impressions has: a teacher over 4K and Kindergarten told me that all the kid’s they have had come from her program do very well when they enter into school. This spoke volumes to me about the impact the director and her staff have on meeting the educational needs to each and every child. My children have attended other daycares and my kids range from ages 11 years to 4 years. And none have shown me the dedication and level of professionalism as Small Impressions has. I still considered my self a new resident to SC and I appreciate all the information and care Small Impressions has provided to me and my family. They are more then just a daycare. I would recommend this daycare to anyone.

Small Impressions have been EVERYTHING to my kids and myself. Ms. Vonda and Mr. D really take to the kids as if they are their own. From my experience this is NOT just a "daycare". It is truly a Development Center of life for children. The programs that are offered are setting children up for future success. The academic program is amazing. My son now attends one of the best ranked private schools in Greenville, since day one I have heard "His previous school (Small Impressions) has prepared well for K-5. Even at his end of the year conference I was reminded again how he was one of the high flyers in his class.Ms. Vonda and Mr. D have done an AWESOME job of going above and beyond for the kids. The passion to see the kids excel is shown with all efforts she puts into the different programs provided at the center. She has different therapist that will come in and assist if needed. Exposure to theater (Showcases is what I like to call them). Introduction to entrepreneurship and financial literacy. She even had them featured in the paper for graduation. I could go on and on how Ms. Vonda wants nothing but the BEST for EVERY CHILD she comes in contact with. I grateful for what she is doing and encourage parents who want to give their child a good starting foundation Small Impressions is where you should start.

My children attended the daycare from the age of 1.5 until CoVID hit. There was never a time that I had to wonder about my children while I was working. The owner is very stern on her expectations for the children. She has an expectation for all her children to succeed and she provides that foundation. The educational aspect at the Small Impressions was none like any other daycare that I had experienced from my previous children’s days of attending. The children start learning in the early age classrooms to prepare them for the pre-K classrooms. They assisted in helping potty train when I was training my babies when they were around 2 so they were potty trained before going to the 3 year old classrooms. The experiences my children were allotted as students there were beyond my expectations. The different programs, the community outreach, and even the ability to go and meet presidential candidates in the past. What other child center so you know provides experiences to children this young like these. Small Impressions is hands down a great facility, professional, and most importantly reliable. If you are looking for a place for your child or children where they will learn and be thought how to be successful beyond the classroom, but most importantly in the classrooms.Give them a call to see if there is an opening.

My son loves this daycare! He learned how to use the bathroom ahead of the schedule I had in my head. He went to Kindergarten knowing how to read, and always came home a happy child. He speaks of this daycare fondly quite often, and always asks can he go see the teachers he remembers there. Daycares are hard to pick-but I think my family went with the right choice.

The owner amd my daughters teacher for the 3K class were incredibly disrespectful. I had to remove both of my kids because the owner decided that it was OK to scold my 5 year old son in front of 4 other parents saying things like, and I quote, "spend a weekend at my house and I would change your life" which I not only took as a threat against my son but also a criticism about our parenting. A big wig for their funding came to do a visit and my son has a history of not wanting to come inside from play time. We live in an apartment, upstairs, so they dont get as much outside play time as we would like. They had taken his outside playtime due to this for a week (whic is excessive but I understand) and then decided to give that back the day that the big wig was there. Needless to say, he refused to come in and caused a scene. The owner handled this incredibly poorly and suspended my 5 year old. She made sure to let us know that if my son lost her her funding that she would (she trailed off here). During his suspension, I was emailing his teacher (who is wonderful and I love) about what exactly happened so I could better understand between what they told me and what he was telling me, but the owner intercepted our emails and told me that I could no longer contact his teacher and that if I had any questions that I should email her. Ok, so I asked her for any paperwork regarding the incident and suspension. She had none. I asked her what her view of what happened was. She then told me that I couldn't contact her about the incident either. I wasnt allowed to contact the people who are supposed to be taking care of my children about an incident involving my own son. MY CHILDREN. MY SON. She was comfortable speaking to my children like this in front of me, in front of 4 other parents, I can only imagine what she said to them behind closed doors. My daughter was having a pretty serious issue with regression in potty training. I had had changes of clothes and diapers and wipes and wipes at the school just in case she had an accident. Multiple times those items were sent home because the teacher "didnt have time to change her if she had an accident" so I then got to take the hour round trip drive to leave my work and go to the school to change her if she had an accident because nobody could be bothered.Almost every single day my son would come home with dried poop in his underwear, of which I had spoken to them about multiple times. They never even noticed it. Dozens of times.I would like to mention that neither of my kids had had accidents for several months before going to thisnschill but both had had full relapses after being there.Mr. D was wonderful every step of the way though. The kids loved him and he was always kind and understanding and always made sure to support my kids and myself.

Very inclusive, loves all kids no matter race, age, etc. Ms. Lavanda is an amazing owner the fact she actually takes time to work with people is amazing. My nieces love this place and the teachers and owner. They have definitely grown out the shell thanks small impressions. Don't have a negative thing to say or think.
