Was recently bought out by a private equity firm. They still pretend to be a small town hardware store. Billing, pricing and checkout have now become a time consuming hassle because of typical corporate bulk and waste. Been standing at the register trying to checkout for almost 10 minutes now while 3 employees run back and forth grabbing part numbers for products that were mis labeled and mis priced or not in the system. The True value in jonesville is still privately owned. No point paying more for supplies if it feeds the typical big brother coorporations.

Ordered something online, received a confirmation email. Drove from another county to pick it up, and when I pulled in noticed I now had a confirmation email. Went in to see what the deal was and the prick at the register just said “yea I canceled it we don’t have it”. No explanation why I received a confirmation it was ready just a snippy attitude. A call would have been great since my phone number was required to place the order. My guess is one of the locals saw it and it was sold to them, or the employee pocketed it since it was a high demand item.

As soon as you walk through the door, they are there to greet you and offer assistance. All the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. And if they do not have it, they can get it. All of this and bargains on the things you need.

I went in to have a key copied. Very nice employees. Wagons, steel and heavy duty for $99. We use it for everything.
