Imagine being a banker. Imagine a girl, a customer of several years, calls you and explains that her account was hacked, resulting in overdraft fees. Imagine you tell that girl that although you fully believe her and understand, you will do nothing to help. Imagine telling this customer that their loyalty is not valued, their problem is not important, and that you don't care. Imagine refusing to let them speak to a supervisor. Imagine that once they insist, you respond with \\\"I spoke to our CEO himself and he agrees with me.\\\" Imagine that girl asks for the number for this \\\"CEO,\\\" and you give her YOUR OWN DESK NUMBER AND HAVE THE GALL TO BE THE ONE ANSWER THE PHONE when she calls. Imagine the girl asks for a bank statement to be emailed so that you can dispute this, and you tell her that your bank doesn't do that, and customers have to come in person to get statements. Imagine saying, with a straight face, that you don't do timely overdraft notifications (literally probably the ONLY bank still in existence that doesn't) , and that customers get something IN THE MAIL when their account overdrafts. So they find out days/weeks later. Imagine being okay with that. Imagine being alone in life because no one will ever respect you for how you act and what you do, and that only makes you more bitter. Imagine you could have been a doctor, a lawyer, an entrepreneur, etc. But no. You chose to be a banker so that you could exploit people. So that you can make people feel small and tell them that you agree and support your employer's decision to exploit customers. Imagine knowing that your salary is paid by customers' overdraft fees, and doing your best to make sure you get that extra bonus this Christmas no matter who you hurt (How Christlike of you). Can you imagine it? If you can't, you're probably a decent person. If you can, you're probably a happy employee at Blue Ridge Bank. I hope no one ever uses their outdated, unsafe, and insecure practices as they happily open customers up to theft! RUN THE OTHER WAY, THIS BANK IS NOT SAFE!!! And they don't even apologize for that!!! P.S. They don't even let you close your account when you ask without going in person, even if you live out of state. Must be desperate for business. NEVER seen a bank proudly scam people this hard in my whole life.

The ladies are nice and don't mind a conversation. You don't have to have an appointment to bank here, but you do need an appointment to open an account. The only drawback is when you have to do things like reset your PIN or get account info the wait is a bit. A couple minutes is closer to 10 or 20.

Customer of Blue Ridge Bank? Might rethink your position after reading what happened to me. A couple of months ago I thought my wallet had been stolen and I called BRB to ask them to lock my card. I also asked them to mail me a replacement card and they refused- telling me that I had to personally come in to get a new debit card. Considering I work M-F from 9-6, I had to take off work early so I could make an in person visit. ( 2 hours Specifically ) So I show up to the Walhalla branch across from the police department and go inside, the line wasn't long but long enough for me to hear the teller relaying to the customers that they were told that 'they do too much for the customers and that they aren't allowed to help anyone fill out anything anymore'. Finally got to my part to ask for my new card and quickly found out that after having been with them for many years my address wasn't even in the system properly ( they actually had my address wrong ). I was frustrated but filled out my change of address form that they made me do to fix it. I was then charged for my replacement debit card and told to sit and wait that it would be ready in a few minutes. - an hour and a half later I was still sitting there. I had even asked another teller what was going on. Finally I'd had enough and I left. I got home and emailed Jennifer Wilson and David Hyatt my two loan officers and VP of the bank about what happened and expressed how I felt things were going downhill considerably with their customer service. I actually ran into Jennifer a few days later at dinner and apologized and told her that I knew it wasn't her fault but that she and David were the only two I trusted to listen. She apologized again and told me that they were supposed to mail me my card along with an apology letter. - Neither never came. I asked Jennifer yesterday if I could get pre approved for a car loan to replace my current one, that I had a new job making new money and wanted to switch vehicles before my current warranty runs out on the one that I have financed with them. Jennifer asked me to send over my pay stubs and she would see what they could do. Here's the response I got from her this morning: Matt, Due to your past actions towards Blue Ridge Bank, we closed your checking accounts. We are not able to call your loan, but Blue Ridge Bank feels it is in your best interest to obtain your loan needs elsewhere. Jennifer Wilson Wow! They treated me like s**** stole my money and now canceled my account because I emailed a complaint? I personally won't be doing business with them again- they're right It's definitely in my best interest to bank elsewhere. With my 800 credit score it shouldn't be too hard.
