Customer service was great, but the room left much to be desired. Not only was it very dated and had shoddy repairs, but it was also dirty. There was a pile of swept up dirt left behind the bathroom door and the exposed pipes under the sink were covered in grime and dust. Every single piece of linen was stained- sheets and pillow cases had black spots (possibly makeup) and hair woven through them, and all the white towels and rags were discolored with yellow/tan marks. I was very mislead by all the great reviews. It was honestly one of the worst places I've ever stayed

Room was renovated and clean. Parking was available right in front of the room. Bedding was a bit stiff and could probably be replaced. Would stay again.

Great little small town hotel. Quiet, and well maintained. Customer service was good as well. My only "complaint" to speak of was the toilet sometimes wouldn't flush properly.Nearby activities: Great hiking and quaint little downtown section

Came to the area on business and the hotels in the area were booked and overpriced due to a at home Clemson football game. I was apprehensive about the location and the exterior of hotel. Got into town late and was expecting the worst. The staff was warm and friendly and helpful. The room itself isn't the Ritz Carlton by far...However it was newly painted, newish carpet, clean sheets and comforter. The towels were inexpensive but clean. Wall air conditioner worked well and extremely good water pressure in the shower. Very quiet neighborhood and area. I would stay there again on business and the rate was extremely low and that could be good for my employer, perhaps I can get a raise !!

This is a warning: DON'T STAY HERE.The fact that I got a full refund was the only positive aspect of this visit. I went somewhere else after seeing this room. Was way too grossed out to ask for a different one. Snapped some pics to send to a family member out of pure shock but I'll use em as proof for y'all, so you don't make the same mistake I did and book here. FYI: There's a mandatory *minimum $100 deposit (says it goes up if you book more than one night)* to stay in these beds. Zero mention of the deposit on the booking sites. Did they really just make me pay a surprise $100 to ensure I wouldn't damage/misuse the room, when they can't even clean bedding? Hypocrisy. If you as a guest wanna stay up all night and play a game of 'Guess That Mystery Stain' instead of getting a good rest, stay here, I guess. I'm not a clean freak but I've never been so disgusted with a place's business practices. Y'all really put a $100 deposit on THIS? It's already messed up, what is there to put a deposit on?!

Rooms are small and the shower is really small but you get what you pay for. The service from the owner to the lady who cleans are rooms are excellent. Very affordable compared to any other hotel I encountered.

The bathroom wall divider blocks the ac/ heater from reaching it. Therefore you get hit and cold throughout the winter nights as the heat unit cycles on and off. The hot is too hot, then you get cold when it's not running.Nearby activities: Close to many restaurants. A block from the main highway so you don't hear the traffic noise.

After driving several hundred miles (on a motorcycle) in temperature from 34°-60°, and back down to 48° being cold and exhausted, this gentleman at the desk, showed patience and kindness, helping me get settled. He is a credit to Choice Hotels. Thank you, Sir.
