This is an extremely frustrating bank due to lack of technology and employee’s capabilities. We opened a business checking account in June. Unlike other banks, every option for your needs (check deposit, electronic transfers, etc) needs to be completed by a person after you fill out paperwork- not an automatically enabled feature on the account. Also, not all branches have the abilities to process this paperwork, it has to go to Walterboro and a specific employee for processing. After a WEEK of going into the Ravenel branch (they truly work “bankers hours” at Bank of the Lowcountry, so without taking work off, I wouldn’t make it to Walterboro before they closed) I took time off work to go to Walterboro and see this employee because they couldn’t seem to figure out how to enable transferring money electronically to/ from my business account. Once enabled, you need to use a computer to create a transfer that you can then replicate on your phone from the app- another step I’ve never experienced with other banks. Well here we are one month later and all the capabilities are no longer working and I’m receiving error messages that my features have been disabled. I am extremely frustrated with the service and professionalism from this bank and I will be withdrawing my money and banking elsewhere.

Not technologically up to date; this is an old-school bank that probably can't meet your needs if you don't live right next door to it. Choose a bank that has an on-line focus and can take care of you if you ever happen to leave town.

Jamie Bunton is a great help to any issues I have had. No matter what he is doing, he will stop to take care of one of his customers questions or problems. He's the definition of a professional and a great leader for this bank. Thanks again Mr. Bunton, as long as you're there, you have a customer for life and I will recommend your bank to everyone!

Let me tell y'all something right now this is the second time y'all have done this to my fiance his card has declined again and there is money in his account either someone at this bank is stealing money from him or someone is getting into his account and I want the problem fixed by the close of business tommrow if it is not fixed our attorney will be involved

Everyone at Bank of the Lowcountry is very friendly, polite and courteous. I moved to the Lowcountry from South Florida and a friend recommended bank of the Lowcountry to me. This bank really is a Gem, A true hometown bank that cares about the people, you’re never just a number with them. Personable service, friendly smiles, Warm atmosphere, I cannot say enough good things about this bank. If you’re tired of being treated like you’re just a number with the other banks, go open a checking account with Bank of the Lowcountry and experience the difference. I am always greeted with a friendly smile at the door, the tellers are very friendly and management is the best!!! Highly recommend
