The car wasnt ready when it was supposed to be. The car I got had alot of damage that we werent able to document BC the store was so busy and had a rotten smell to in the vents. If insurance wasn't paying, I would've gone elsewhere.

On two separate occasions, we received dirty vehicles, once when my employer sent me to Florida they rented a car for me the car looked like it was an employee of enterprise, tinted windows, smelt of cigarettes, and was pretty beaten cosmetically. None the less I had to hit the road. The second go around was recent, I was involved in an accident and the insurance company set up the rental it was supposed to be of a similar vehicle that I had which was a full-size truck. We goto pick up our rental and all they had in a truck was a Tacoma but the guy at the counter said he would call us when he had one available. It had been in a wreck so as you drove it up to 60 mph the left front would shake a little and it smelt like a wet dog. We called enterprise and they checked availability around us to include Charleston and Columbia. Nothing in full-size truck, it was a Thursday morning when we picked up the truck and they weren't open over the weekend. My wife drove the truck for the remainder of the following week and then we called enterprise and Columbia had a possibility and set up a reservation for 5 pm Saturday. We drove to Columbia and when we explained the situation and showed them the interior of the truck they said they only had a Toyota Camry it was clean so we agreed to take it. Not saying all enterprise are this way and we could have just had two streaks of bad luck.

We rented a truck from them if it was not an emergency and we needed to get home we would have never rented from them. It was ants in the truck biting me and the seats were stained and cigarette burns in the seats. I don;t know what was the bugs the smell or the nasty seats. So if you want a clean non smoking car dont go here. I am surprised that we were not ? sick from being in the truck. The picture I posted is of one of the many spiders we also had to kill.

It should not be necessary to reserve a rental car a week in advance. This location never has enough cars… ever.

My insurance company rented a car for me from enterprise and words can’t describe how horrible the inside of the two cars were that was assigned to me the first car was smoke up to a point that literally had to return it after driving about 3miles. The second car that was assigned was also smoked up to a point that I always kept all windows in a down position even during the night the cloth interior had a terrible odor of cigarette smoke and gingivitis. It was apparent that the maintenance crew tried to mask the odor by using a sweet deodorizer but there efforts made things worse the interior needed shampooing.

I have had a couple of bad experiences with Enterprise Rent-A-Car within the last 6 months. Unfortunately there is not a closer place to rent cars from and I often need to rent for work travel. I may have to drive an hour to rent from now. Maybe the other offices will have better customer service!

Horrible experience, reserved a full size SUV (suburban or similar) 3 weeks in advance for an upcoming trip. The day I was scheduled to pick up the rental they did not have anything bigger than a mini-van, was told to give them a few hours because they were picking up vehicles from the airport. 4 o'clock p.m. I called, they said they still had no vehicles, tried back 30 minutes later and was told again they had no vehicles and that they wouldn't be getting any in. This was on a Friday, my plans were to be on the road no later than 3 o'clock p.m. that day.

Had a great car for an extended time due to my truck being in the shop but was disappointed in the fees cause my rental kept going up each week. Wasn't consistent when I was told it would stay the same

Was charged 200 bucks for not returning a rental car (that was fully paid for by insurance as my car was still being repaired) and the manager lied through his teeth saying he called and left a voice mail informing me. Jokes on him because i dont even have a voice mailbox to leave messages on lol. He also constantly tried to interrupt me as i tried to explain the situation. I see other posts about a rude manager here so im guessing he has a reputation. If you rent here make sure you keep track of everything yourself cause they sure as hell won't help you.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car of Walterboro SC has the worst customer service. The insurance company had a car reserve for me. The gentlemen I spoke to a few days before pick-up said we have you scheduled at 9:30. He did not say, you have to be there at exactly 9:30 or you will not get a car. When I got there a few hours later he had already given the car to another customer. He did not call to see if I wasnt getting car or anything. I had just call him 3 days prior to make sure everything was straight with the insurance company. When I got there, he was very nonchalant about it. I called other Enterprise companies within the area, everyone is completely sold out. I think, he knew what he was doing. I hope I never have to rent from them again.

I had to call corporate because this guy was so rude. Example: He told me cars don't grow on trees. Mind you, i had a reservation made by my insurance company and confirmed by me.This is the first encounter in Walterboro Enterprise and I promise you its my last. Beaufort office is much friendlier and helpful.

This Enterprise helped us out when our National Rental broke down. When working with Urgently to get a replacement car, they reserved a car here but couldn't find an Uber, Lyft, or Taxi to pick us up and get us there. We called the Enterprise and they delivered the vehicle to our location eliminating the 20 miles we would have to back track to get there. They even handled all the paperwork. I can't thank them enough.
