Nice visitor's center with a gift shop and extremely clean restrooms. There's an outdoor seating area out back and a pet walk next to the parking area. They even had a pet bowl filled with water on the front porch.

This beautiful old plantation home makes the perfect museum. The people working there are fantastic and very informative about local history. There are also brochures and information concerning local sightseeing as well as a nice gift shop which sells locally crafted items.

Edited the review to five star after that response!Got there ten minutes after close. I drove from far away and knew I’d get there after five but thought walking around the grounds would still make a worthwhile visit. WRONG! They lock the gate and you can’t even enter the property. Seems a bit unnecessary! Either that or it’s a bad neighborhood.

Not much to see but I would still stop by. Has history of Sherman's March to the sea and Robet E Lee earth work's. This is free to see.

Not only does it have very interesting exhibits, but it also has some research material there in the front room for those searching out people of the past and their relation to them. It is also an excellent introduction to other things to see and then more detailed manner then one gets at the rest areas. Thirdly it is a good start because there's a large parking area which is great if you have a motorhome or a camper. It is peaceful there and one gets to look at a piece of History without being shoved Along by the crowd. They also have some very interesting books about history in the area that are for sale. Believe it or not, with all of this; admission is no charge. There is a donation box which I would greatly encourage folks to donate to to keep this gem open.

Very nice gift shop. Would have walked around more but there was so many tiny gypsy moth catapillers everywhere, you couldnt take a step without stepping on them. Maybe next time. Very pretty grounds otherwise.

Perfect place to stop for a picnic and bathroom break while on a road trip on the I-95. It's right off the interstate! Beautiful grounds and if you have an interest in American history, it's a great learning opportunity as well. Clean bathrooms and friendly attendants.

It was a small museum and mostly gift shop on an old plantation. Very old oak trees. Worth the visit.

It was more of a museum and gift shop than a plantation house. Still, it was a pleasant place to visit and learn something of its history.

The grounds and home were well kept. The individuals working in the house were nice and the bathrooms were clean! We really enjoyed the stop and even found a few items to purchase from the shop.

This place is very pleasant. The staff are wonderful. You learn alot about the area plus history during the 1800s. Movies that are filmed here and even some movie props from Forest Gump. It is awesome and the scenery is beautiful.
