I like this post office: the workers are always cheerful and efficient. I drive a little further to reach it.

I checked my mail it was already opened called the number and they told me that I would have to call back because of the system being down and when I made the statement that it's illegal to open someone's mail the survivor said she was not tolerating that language and proceeded to hang up. I understand this is the only way people in York SC can get their mail but this is outrageous and unprofessional

The people who work here at the service counter, are truly the best. They are helpful, pleasant and personable. I know thier job can be stressful and challenging. But, they are always warm and welcoming.

On Saturday 3/29/25, we had the most awesome mail carrier help us out! We live in a condo so our mailboxes are in a central location. In order to deliver a package, the carrier has to leave a key for a larger box in our small mailbox. The key was left, but it had someone else's package in the box. We contacted that homeowner so that we could have him retrieve the key out of his box. He did but that key did not work for the box our package was in. At this point, the post office was closed. My husband was out running an errand and saw a mail carrier. He explained the situation to her, and she took the time to help us. My husband came home from running errands and the package was on our doorstep. We don't have the name of the woman who helped us, but I hope that she will see this message and know that we are so thankful for her help! She just proved that there are some good people left in this world!!

I had to mail a book overseas. The woman at the desk said, you need a bigger envelope for the stickers and form. Every other post office I've ever been it has envelopes and packaging materials for sale. Was pretty clear she was not going to offer to help me out at all on that score. Glad this is not my local office. Deplorable service.

I paid for a CERTIFIED letter. When I got no confirmation of delivery, I went back to the office. They told me that the MAIL CARRIER had signed for the letter but they would resend a copy of the letter for free! This is a time sensitive eviction issue that I need to prove that they got the letter... hence...a certified letter. Very unprofessional. Just cost me a bundle.

Bad post office with a bad postmaster and bad employees. We used to not have a single issue with this office and problems started towards the end of last year when the mail carrier began to refuse driving to the home to deliver packages. Our family had items coming in before the holidays totalling over $400 in one shipment that was left at the post office for USPS to complete delivery on and the package was stolen while in possession of the USPS by USPS employees. Now our mail carrier that delivers mail to our home coincidentally requests and is now "requiring" that the items be sent to the main post office for pickup. When you do that on their re-delivery app it tells you there are no parcel lockers available. Quite convenient that the place where they steal your belongings is the place where they want your packages shipped to. Mail theft by postal employees was considered a felony I thought? The postal carrier in question has stated to us that it's not her job to drive to our home to deliver packages. We have had this employee put packages at the mailbox, over 2000ft away from our driveway at the end of our private road, beside the county maintained paved road. They can easily be stolen there (which has happened before). We had to install a locking mailbox with a tamper proof slot because people have been attempting to go through our mail. Then, the postal employees would not push the mail all the way into the slot. That really defeats the purpose. The postal employee seems to believe that our driveway starts at the paved, county maintained road and it does not. We are at the very end of the gravel that our family purchased. To top it off, we recently purchased an additional $2100 in gravel to place on the road to make sure it's accessible in all weather conditions and times and I even maintain it with my personal tractor because it's a private road.As it stands right now we've requested investigations by the news, the USPSIC, the USPSOIG, and the local congressman. The postal master doesn't care. If anything he is condoning this behavior. The USPSOIG has forwarded it to a smaller, local agency and passed the buck. Then they wonder why the general public has an extreme distaste for federal agencies and the postal service. When you put minorities, Democrats, and liberals in charge of vital government services it falls apart. This isn't any exception.Final note, FedEx, UPS, Amazon, and DHL all come to our home without issue. We've got three drivers that we have become extremely familiar with and one even inquired about buying my utility trailer. I guess some people just suck.

The worst. There has to be a better option for help. The reviews here are not because people don't have anything better to do. You can call and I swear they just tell you anything to get you off the phone. Whomever the mail carrier is for my neighborhood is horrible. We have a group page and the complaints are often from usps.I agree you can fill out the form but the online submittal is broken when you get to the last part..they have an error... so you have to call... and I promise that call was a total waste of your time.I often leave positive reviews I absolutely love to leave them but my experiences with this post office is different. I have had trouble only since building a house here and having to deal with this usps.

SERIOUSLY messed up service. You have one option to report problems -- just keep filling out some long ridiculous form -- but no amount of form filling seems to make any difference at all. EXTREMELY serious issues seem to simply be ignored.I know some carriers that work out of this office and they are top notch people. While others in this office are doing some really shocking things. It's like people within this service are intentionally trying to sabotage this service. What a huge mess -- with the good carriers suffering along with the people they are trying to serve. One star is not a low enough rating.

I don’t know what’s going on here but you guys need to get it together. So unprofessional losing people’s packages and marking them as “pre shipment” instead of shipped. Unacceptable. Beware!
