I've been driving a company car for over 4 years, it has always been a Camry, so I've taken them to be serviced at Harrs. I put on an average of 45k miles in a years, so that's a lot of oil changes and servicing. I will not be going back now. I made an appointment for oil change and servicing that needed to be done. I wanted 11am, but was told at 10:30am, fine with that but really wanted 11 because of a conference call, but made it work. I was told when I dropped it off it would be 2 hours. I'm realist and figured it would be closer to 3 hours. I wasn't hearing anything, so I called at 3pm asking the statis of my car. I was told he would check and call me right back. After an HOUR, I called again, it is now 4pm. When I called, a guy named Jordan answered. I said my name and asked about my car. His response was, "well what is it here for??" I was floored! I explained what I knew was being done and that I brought it in at 10:30am. He said it wasn't even looked at until after lunch! I was baffled and told him it was there at the scheduled time at 10:30am. He said since I didn't wait around for the car, I wasn't a priority! What does that matter? He also said people need lunch breaks, and that's an hour. I again reminded him I brought it in at 10:30am. After arguing on the phone with me, he FINALLY said he'd go check on it. I just wanted to know when it would be done. I had a friend that had to go back home, we both live a half hour away and she was worried about just leaving me. I FINALLY got my car back shortly before 5pm. I will point out that since it's a company car, it has a GPS. My car did sit for over 4 hours before being taken back to the shop. Jordan is very rude and should NOT be in customer service. Brady was great to me and very apologetic. But I will not be returning and will find another place for my car to be serviced.

I recently purchased a vehicle from Dennis at Harr. 100% online, 100% great service. They delivered the car within 2 minutes of their scheduled time. Really good experience!

Dennis & Crew's towing service came to our rescue as we were on our way to Aberdeen pulling our camper just before the Forth of July when we blew a bearing on our camper 20 miles north of Aberdeen. After nearly two hours of calling every other service shop, I got ahold of Harr Motors and Dennis came out with the tow truck to our rescue. He was able to get the tire off and followed me with his lights on as I limped our camper into Aberdeen at about 20 mph down 281. Five starts are not enough for the service they provided for my family and I that day, getting us to Aberdeen safely. Thank you again!

Not good. Several visits and several issues: -Asked about getting new tires and they just printed a list of three options and sent me on my way, didn't want to take time to talk it out with me. -Also had to bring car in for a recall issue, and they made me bring the car in to "look at it" before they'd schedule to fix it, then brought in to fix it, and they did the replacement but broke a clip, so I had to drive back again for a new appointment, which got cancelled last minute. I live an hour from them and asked about them spotting me some gas money because I will now have driven 8 unnecessary hours all because of them- and was told I'd have to talk to a manager, so I asked if the manager could call me, and so far no call. -my wife also took her car here as well, any time she tried to call to get updates, they'd say they were "on lunch" and took forever to get a simple job done. -we also stopped by to look at purchasing a car, and when we said we wanted to look at used cars and not buy a new one, we were essentially dismissed. -harr has had many chances to change my opinion, and all they do is reinforce it

Horrible customer service in the service department. I bought my new vehicle here and the salesmen was great but since purchasing I have had my vehicle serviced here on three separate occasions and every time the service employees are arrogant, condescending and lack basic communication skills. I will be taking my business elsewhere and you should too.

As Kirk Cousins said at the beginning of the season, "Everything rises and falls on leadership." Well I've seen the top of Harr Motors, in part because of a slight miscommunication in service that was resolved swiftly and fairly, and I can say with confidence this is a company you can trust. They'll have my business for as long as I'm in the Aberdeen area.

Salesmen are way to pushy, we purchased a vehicle from them about 2 months ago and have found it does not fit our needs. Went to another dealer to look and price out trade in and stuff come to find out HARR priced the car $5,000 over what it was actually worth. As I said above they are very pushy, quick for a sale. Which obviously all makes sense now. We will never be doing buisness with HARR again.

EVERY CAR BUYER'S WORST NIGHTMARE! This is the most painful review I hope I ever leave.My fiance and I bought a used vehicle from Harr on Monday, BY FRIDAY IT BLEW UP!I spent my entire savings on this vehicle. It's used and I understood the as-is warranty and I expected it to need some repairs. It did need several actually. OK, made a mechanic appointment.It sat in our driveway Tues - Thurs and my fiance was driving it TO our repair shop appointment when the engine blew on Friday.Something shot right threw it and burning oil and massive amounts of smoke went everywhere, blocking other driver's view and making it hard to get pulled over and was very dangerous. Then he had to sit in the cold for an hour to wait for a tow truck.I now have no transportation and no more money.I thought I'd reach out to Harr to see if they would offer to help in any way seeing as the vehicle lasted FOUR DAYS. They said I could trade it in for about $500 ? and then basically told me to kick rocks.I understand the contract and I never asked for a refund or return. (Actually, big thanks goes to Stoudt dealership in Jamestown for giving us a loaner vehicle for over the weekend! That's far more than Harr ever offered.)I just thought it would be worth reaching out to them considering the extreme circumstances. But no, it was not worth reaching out to them. This is literally every car buyer's worst nightmare and my biggest regret of my life. We won't even be able to go to or have Thanksgiving and we are stranded now.They do not care about anything but getting the vehicle off the lot and cashing your check. After that they couldn't care less. Honestly being out thousands of dollars and vehicle-less is nothing short of traumatic.

BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT ANY USED VEHICLE PURCHASEHad a very negative experience with them. I recently purchased a Honda Odyssey from them, and during my talks with the salesman, I let him know that I generally like to have a mechanic look at cars before I buy them. He told me that he didn't think there was a need for that, since they have their guys look at it, and they had already done some repairs for the check engine light. Seeing as they had generally positive reviews, I took his word for it.Upon receiving the car, it had to be jump started the next day. Within probably 10-20 miles of driving the car, the check engine light comes on. So I took it to a mechanic and there were about $4000 worth of repairs to be done on it (The car only cost $6000).So of course I called them and explained the situation to them, and after all I was told, the sales manager explained that used cars are NOT actually mechanically inspected prior to selling them. Convenient that they waited till after I bought it to make that clear by word of mouth.If you're looking for used cars in SD, I would avoid them, but at the very least get the car looked at before buying it since they will not fix anything after it is sold.

I just bought a vehicle a week ago from Harr Motors here in Aberdeen South Dakota Chris paid and Nick in finance are the best there's ever been this is not just a car dealership these are people that actually care about their customers I was really nervous about making this purchase since it has been about 20 years they have gone above and beyond after the sale to answer all of my questions to make me feel comfortable and feel good and knowing I made the right decision I definitely went to the right team at Harr Motors in Aberdeen South Dakota to make my new vehicle purchase these gentlemen are an asset to their industry and to Harr Motors if you need a vehicle whether it's new or used please go and see them they will work with you they will help you anyway they can they are absolutely wonderful thank you guys so much for making me feel special and important before during and especially after my vehicle purchase
