American Creek Campground

American Creek Campground is a nice and picturesque campground near the river with beautiful views. It is very well taken care of and considered one of the best campgrounds, offering a great park, a swimming beach, a fishing pier, a walking path, and water access for recreation. The location is good, providing quiet at night while maintaining proximity to Main Street and in-town businesses, with lots of attractions within a few miles. The campground features nice grassy sites with concrete pads. Sites are relatively large with good space between them; some are treed while others are more open. Most sites have power and water, with a few also offering sewer. Guests should note that some spots can be short and very tight to back into. The staff is friendly and helpful, and check-in is smooth with no complaints. Amenities include convenient, clean showers that are open all night and feel like a spa, as well as free showers and WiFi. The playground and swimming beach are particularly enjoyed. Visitors should be aware that mosquitoes are very prevalent and mean, so preparation is advised. Overall, it is an outstanding and great campground, perfect for a stay.
