“I have to echo some of the other reviews here. The hotel and it's rooms are good. The front desk person that checked us in though, was a snotty 20 something with an attitude. From the beginning it was apparent that we were an inconvenience to her. After processing us in, instead of directing us to our room, she pointed to the front door and stated, "that's the closest exit." I was confused, because the rooms are accessed from inside the building, so I said "exit, can't we get there without going out"? She says, "exit, entrance, same thing." When I pointed out that they aren't the same thing and are in fact exact opposites, she said rolled her eyes, said "they're both doors", turned around, and went in the back. Unbelievable!”

“Honestly, don't know why there were several bad reviews. Staying at AmericInn in Fort Dodge gave a bad first taste but changed when I came here. The staff was nice and our room was clean. Plus, they let us check in before 3! Oh, and the bar was actually a bar this time. Not like the previous one. Didn't smell like chlorine despite having a working pool. Smelled of refreshing pine and feels cozy. Also, great location right off of I-90. Definitely would book again and perhaps the best stay of my cross country travel”
