Everything about my recent stay at the Days Inn in Custer, SD, was pleasant. My late night check-in was efficient and friendly, and my room was very clean and looked recently updated. Parking and the continental breakfast were good. My only complaint was that the air conditioner didn't initially cool the room very quickly, but the room was very comfortable for the remainder of my stay. For price, convenience and comfort, I would recommend this hotel.

Last minute stay whilst traveling to South Dakota from Wyoming. The exterior doesn't say much, but this place was clean! Nice rooms that include breakfast in a downstairs self-serve dining area. Great location to downtown shops and saloons.
Walkability: Walkable to downtown amenities, gas station across the street.
Food and drinks: Plenty of restaurants, shops, and saloons to wt your whistle.

It was basically a place to sleep. Bathrooms were gross. The only thing they had for breakfast at 8 am was waffles and 2 pieces of white bread. I went to the grocery store for donuts. If you're looking for the lowest of the low budget and just need a place to rest your head, this is the place for you! But I won't be back.

This hotel has a lot of negative reviews. I was a little nervous before we arrived. Husband is a government employee so the government rate was not being accepted by higher rated hotels in Custer SD. I found the hotel clean. The room pleasant. The A/C was awesome, nice and cold. The bed was very comfy. The shower head was a little wonky with spray but doable. There is no coffee maker or microwave in room but there is a fridge. The breakfast was limited in the area downstairs but the coffee was good. The hotel was quiet and I never heard other guests.

Beds were relatively comfortable, but visible dirt on the comforter and uncleaned grime on table surfaces give you pause. The ADA bathroom has 4 grab bars in the tub, but none surrounding the toilet. The space between the Queen bed and the wet bar was just barely enough to shuffle a wheelchair around, making it very difficult to imagine this being considered ADA for someone who is staying unassisted. The door at the end of the hall was propped open even at 10p, well past the 9p mentioned by another reviewer. There is little to no sound insulation between the floors.
Rooms: A broken and dirty air filter makes it feel like housekeeping might not be a priority. Broken shower head bar and pink stains in the tub perpetuate this.
Safety: The door at the end of the 1st floor hall was propped open even at 10p, well past the 9p mentioned by another reviewer. Upon further investigation, it seems to be propped open because the card reader itself doesn't function, requiring an individual to walk around the building to re-enter through the front door.
Noteworthy details: Be cautious about the ADA claims - toilets don't have grab bars and navigating through the room is nearly impossible unassisted.

Had a studio room but there was no seating in the "studio" part of the room it had a large TV but no place to sit. The hotel is managed by a couple but the wife doesn't speak English. Beds were comfortable.

We booked over the phone for a room with the hotel. And we wanted to cancel because the room was not what we were told. And when we said we wanted to leave and get a full refund the exact person we talked to on the phone with about the room said he couldn’t refund us because we did it through a third party which we did not.
