We did not have a good rest. The attendant was unwilling to acknowledge concerns, instead responded in disagreeing manner. When people work hard for their money to have a nice vacation. To expect pay for rooms such as these is extremely disrespectful. There was not an odor in the room which we appreciated-Bed linens and towels threadbare and not warm—Tiling and tub in bathroom were not clean; a tub ring and mildew starting from poorly operating fan—Toilet had grime in stool area and urine had not been cleaned from the seat attachment—Holes in curtain and dirt accumulation in window—Dimly lit roomRemodeling goals not met for this room and unfit for open business

This was a nice place to spend the night. Restaurants are nearby, the hotel has breakfast. And I got to catch up on cleaning my clothes in the laundry area.

Welcome to room 107.... The room itself was clean, the beds comfortable, but the bathroom was absolutely disgusting! I have seen truck stop bathrooms cleaner than this. The tub had what looked like old soap scum in it and would not drain. The chain on the door was busted and the door leading to the exterior of the building was unsecured.

Passable as shelter for the night - barely. We were beginning our trip to the Rockies with a 5-day stay in a Custer state park campground. We had planned on spending 4 days driving from Upstate New York to get here, but we decided to push on and get here in 3 days to have an extra day in the Black Hills (it was a good decision; we had a great time). We reserved this place based on a competitive price - we have learned since along the trip that you basically get what you pay for).First thing I noticed as I walk in is a dogeared, yellowed sheet of printer paper taped to the front door window saying, "We are in the middle of renovating, please excuse our mess". Upon a moment's reflection, you realize there are not, nor will ever be, renovations (nor a new sheet of paper in the front door window, apparently)

Avoid this place, it’s in rough shape. The manager/owner is rude and aggressive. The place is dated, no updates or improvements. It’s run on a shoestring budget, but charges premium rates. Frozen food, unripe fruit is offered.Nearby activities: Main Street stores are a block away

We have a nice stay. The rooms and bathroom were super clean with everything we needed in the room and the breakfast was nice too we all had something we liked yogurt, waffles, muffins, toast, oatmeal, danishes, bananas, apples, and they had apple juices and coffee as well and a soda machine you can pay for soda as well. There’s even a gas station across the road. Even undergoing remodeling, despite some of the reviews we had a great experience with the staff and hotel itself would recommend if you’re in the area to see mt Rushmore or crazy horse or just need a place to stop.

Just staring out going to the room there is a strong musty odor. After opening the door it's just as strong there and the floors have crumbs all over like they didn't vacuum after the last people staying here. Makes me wonder if they changed the sheets or cleaned the bathroom. I'm glad we are just passing through so I won't have to worry about staying here again

I had a 4 day stay booked under a different confirmation number . We called to ask to come in 1 day early making 5 nights total. The person answering the phone (Harry) said he could not add the extra day to the existing reservation, but could make a separate one. I asked if it would be the same rate as the existing reservation and he said YES. However, when I checked in, he charged approximately $40 more for the new night. I went to my room to get my copy of the 4 day reservation so I could ask why and show the lower rate. When I returned to the front desk, Harry was not there, but a man who said he was the manager and that I could ask him my question was there. At first, he said I did not have any other reservation other than the 1 night. Then he finally found it and I asked why the new night was more telling him Harry had told me it would be the same rate. He accused me of lying saying I could not have made a reservation with Harry the prior day because he worked the front desk all that day. Harry walked down the hall at this point, so I started to speak with him about the situation, but the manager yelled at me that he was the manager and Harry had "nothing to do with this--that he was not the owner or manager". At his point, I knew there was no reason to have any further discussion with this rude and obnoxious man, so I left. I went back to my room, cancelled the remaining 4 days and will probably never stay in a Days Inn again. This person identifying as the manager has no ability to deal with the public. He was rude, disrespectful and lost his temper. Harry even tried to help me, but the manager yelled at him, also.Hotel is old and run down. Not filthy, but not very clean either.

This place was available. $89 + tax seems like overkill though. It's not the cleanest, though the evening desk clerk was very welcoming and friendly. Beds are decent. Overall, the hotel is rather shabby and in worn/run down condition.Bathroom was beyond gross. The bathtub bottom was very dirty, grimey with dirt/body oils of previous visitors and now beyond the point of getting clean. Sitting on the bed and looking towards the toilet, it's easy to see under the rim - completely black and nasty. No idea if it was mold, filth collected over time, or see other kind of funky funk. Ick. See photos. If given a choice, I'd skip this one and keep looking for something better.Trip typeCouple

Convenient location. Clean room. Minor points: older building with no special parking for check in.
