Kadoka Kampground

Kadoka Kampground is an older facility that offers a simple, affordable place to stay for travelers, priced at $35 per night. The owner is consistently described as extremely nice, helpful, and wonderful, often going out of the way to assist guests, answering immediately even for late-night reservations, and being accommodating with check-out times. The campground has pull-through sites with full hookups that are fairly level and include a nice picnic table at every spot. There are trees providing shade, though some tree trimming is needed. The bathrooms and shower house are old but fully usable, with hot water; however, they are in need of major renovation and repairs, and the showers are very small. The laundry mat definitely needs work, with one washer and two dryers noted. The campground is located behind a motel, close to Wall Drug and the Badlands, but highway sounds from semis can be heard during the day. While it is a little old and needs upkeep, it is considered a great campground that suffices for travelers' needs, is extremely reasonable, and many would stay again or recommend it for anyone traveling through.
