Hotel looks great from the outside, but the rooms are in bad need of upgrades. Decor is straight out of the 70's. We stayed 4 nights. Asked for maid service night 2, and no one ever came the whole time we were there. We had to hit up the front desk for fresh towels. They serve a complimentary breakfast, but they need to attend to it more often, because several times, food bins were empty. Location is great! Walking distance to the town of Keystone and close to Mount Rushmore. I have no pictures of the room. I guess I didn't want to remember it.

We had a wonderful stay here! The staff were great, the room was awesome. We booked a two double bed room and they gave us a queen suite! We were so grateful for this experience. We were very tired we drove 11 hours from Kansas City through the night to hike up Black Elk Peak, we were so tired when we got there so the hot tub in the pool area was wonderful! Great breakfast and close to shops for souvenirs and eating! Thank you for your hospitality!

Upon checking into our room,my GF found a large black stain on the mattress. The staff was friendly & very helpful in providing us with another room. The other room stunk like a dog had been in the room, the carpet was unclean & left black imprints of your shoes as you treaded over the tile. Hornet nest & bird shit at balcony

It’s in a great location, but needs some serious work. Very out dated. The front desk person was very kind.
Nearby activities: 5 min from Mt Rushmore.

Baymont /wyndam should be ashamed for allowing this franchise to be as bad as it was. It really gives them a bad rep. I’ve stayed and Baymont before and they are nice and clean. This one is an embarrassment to the company. read the reviews! Pictures are deceiving. We got a room here and the outside and front desk look beautiful, clean and updated, once you get to the hallway rooms they are outdated, dirty, and just in bad shape! We actually checked for bed bugs with as bad as it was. Thankfully none in our room! There were bugs all over wasp looking things. Mostly outside but they get inside sometimes. We got a room with a bunk bed, and that thing was so wobbly my 9y/o asked if it was safe and sturdy to sleep on it. The mattresses are so hard and uncomfortable our backs were hurting the next morning! The shower had rust along the curtain rod and top of the shower tile. The indoor pool, same has rust and possible mold or algae or something nasty on the pool walls. The pool was not completely full the first stop was not covered at all by water I would say it was missing about a foot to foot and a half of water. The hot tub was the same and. It completely filled up. Passing some office, it was very messy, which is where they also kept all the bread and bagels and breakfast foods, wasn’t very sanitary to be kept in there the way it was. I’m sure if health and safety showed up they would get dinged for a lot of things. Oh, if you stay multiple days, don’t expect a room clean daily unless you request it. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.. wish I took more pictures. It’s gross, unsanitary and Wyndham should be ashamed… shut it down, or remodel it and get better management! Ultimately that’s what it comes down to is a manager who doesn’t care. I have contacted Wyndham directly as well.
Noteworthy details: Dirty. Unkept, uncomfortable, outdated. Embarrassment to the brand name. Pictures online are deceiving

Great location for Custer and Mount Rushmore area. You can walk to dinner and shopping after a day of sightseeing. Room was dated, but spacious and clean.

There is a very steep driveway so if want to walk to downtown Keystone you will have a hike or pay the $5 shuttle fee. (I have included pictures). The other option is to drive but public parking is limited.
The room was very small. Very small.
The closest elevator to our room only went to floor 2 even though there were three floors to the hotel. So if you wanted to go to the third floor you had to go to a different elevator on the other side of the hotel.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Rooms: Very small. We had two beds and I think they were full size not queens.
The "closet" was just a clothing rack with hangers on the wall with an iron and ironing board underneath it
Walkability: Close to the touristy part of Keystone but getting there requires a hike down a steep incline ... Which you then have to hike back up.

This place is beautiful from the outside. Walking into the lobby, it looks great and smells wonderful. The hallways to the room have deodorizers and smell heavenly. This should have been our first clue. The room smelled horrid. The air conditioner was loud and falling off the wall and the smell... Absolutely gross. The bed was fine but the pillows were like sleeping on bricks. The shower curtain rod holder was rusty and falling off the wall and the carpet was like someone had rubbed syrup in it. The continental breakfast was horrible unless you like powdered eggs with too much water and boiled breakfast sausage. They had biscuits and gravy but not my thing so I didn't try it. Tried to pay for an upgrade in rooms but since we purchased on Expedia that was not allowed. We were supposed to be there for three nights... So bad, we left early. Check out took a while because another couple was also leaving early because their room flooded when the shower wouldn't drain. Tried for a refund - the hotel said can't do because it was booked through Expedia; Expedia tried but the property management said no! Seriously, the price is low for a reason... the place is horrible.

31 vehicles in the parking lot early the next morning. Our room faced a rock wall, which had been created to make foundation for hotel. Would have greatly appreciated a view other than gray stone 15' from window.
