This is a great place as a base camp to explore the Black Hills. It's right on the Iron Mountain Road.

Stayed in the fall (mid-October) and really enjoyed this place. It's a little farther past Rushmore than Keystone, but well worth the drive. The pond is stocked so my little boy could fish (we rented a pole for $10), the scenery was wonderful in and around the campground, and the cinnamon rolls were out-of-this-world. Used full hookups for the RV and all went smoothly. The people were kind and helpful. We will love to come back!

We are 5 year FT RVers who move weekly so we have stayed in TONS of campgrounds/ RV parks we stayed throughout the USA. We loved the great staff & owners: everyone was ultra friendly & helpful. The cafe, gift shop, & bathrooms were very clean & well maintained. We stayed a week in Sept/ Oct so missed the pool & crowds. Location was great to all things related to Custer State Park & Mt. Rushmore. Sites were a bit closer together for what we like as our neighbors nightly campfire smoked up our rig, but was nice to view wildlife that wandered daily through our campsite. We hiked the flag hike multiple times during our stay & played mini golf. No cell service in this area, however WiFi offered was great for exploring things to do & keeping up with emails. Overall we are glad we stayed here!

GREAT! We were in our RV. The site had plenty of room. There is a pool, huge new playground, fishing and put put golf. Large field for RV’s to turn around. Laundry room was excellent. It was clean and plenty of washers and dryers. Individual shower/ restrooms were clean and had large wall mounted fans to help dry out the area and kept the temperature down. My favorite thing was watching the families, in tents, camping along the creek and all the kids playing. Lots of fun and laughter! What a great place for a family reunion! Cabins to rent! Also had a cafe! What more could you ask for!

Very pleased with our stay. We’re self proclaimed snotty campground glampers and weren’t totally sure how we’d feel about no sewer and only 30 amp with the spot we got (they have full hookups though). So happy we stayed though. This campground was the quintessential summer campground with cabins, tents, rvs, campfires, families having fun, fishing, etc. The vibe is park setting, trees, and a creek. The staff is very friendly and the coffee shop on site was yummy. You can’t beat the location. Highly recommend.

This was a beautiful campground nestled inside the Black Hills. We camped here with our RV travel trailer. Although it was a bit long to get to since it's inside the national forest, is totally worth it since you are right close to everything in the Black Hills. We had food at the cafe there and the kids really enjoyed themselves there.
