PROCEED WITH CAUTION WHEN TAKING BEEF HERE! We had a very bad experience with this locker. Our beef producer went there due to a time/scheduling constraint. Our producer verified that they would do 1/4 beef for his customers. Then the locker would continuously ask his customers if they wanted the front 1/4 or the back 1/4 which would leave one customer with roasts and one with steaks. This would have been disastrous for his customers as some of his beef goes to FL and all over the state and wouldn’t be able to make it right. The locker got very mad about him telling them that is not how his customers in 40 years have ever gotten beef and that his customers are expecting a mixed quarter. We are thankful our producer went to bat for us because it would have not ended up fair if he had not been insistent. (Neighbors had this happen to them with a different producer at this locker and they had to make it right between the two families.) The locker was asked to hang beef for 14 days which ended up being 30-35 days. All customers beef was not frozen when leaving the locker. They commented that one of their freezers was on the fritz. The processing was significantly higher than our normal locker (at least $130 more for less beef and we didn’t change our packaging needs/wants). And when confronted about pounds of grinding charged and pounds received (20 lb difference) the owner (wife) was very mean and defensive. She has horrible customer service when questioned. Not professional at all.
