“On my way back to Rapid City from a work trip in Sioux Falls, the splash pan under the front of my car ripped loose. I stopped in Mitchell for gas and immediately heard scraping underneath. Unsure what to do, I pulled up Google Maps, found the closest mechanic, and gave Dale’s a call.
They told me to come right in. Within about 30 minutes, they had my car lifted, completely removed the damaged underbody panel, resecured the sensors, and handed me my keys.
When I asked what I owed, they told me nothing. I pushed back (more than happy to pay for their time) but they wouldn’t accept it. They were simply willing to help someone who needed it. The entire interaction was straightforward, calm, and incredibly kind.
