The prices are high, but their selection of sodas is unmatched. That alone is worth the price.

Great place to get different flavored brats. The onion ones are my favorite. The summer sausage is super great as well. They have a good selection of vintage sodas and stuff too. The staff is super friendly and willing to help with anything. They do catering as well. It super popular in May for graduation time in Pierre.

So, a little story of why I won't ever be returning to Korner Grocery...I've recently had one of life's little accidents and because of this have had to go in for surgery, sadly putting restrictions on my work ability as I can't go back for two weeks. Anyway, the morning of the surgery (6-10-19 around 9 a.m.), I was honestly kind of nervous so on the way down my wife had a thought to try to put my mind at ease. She decided we would stop by Korner Grocery across from the park and quick get a stop for a game we both like playing (it helps keeps us both outdoors as much as possible). I thought it was a great idea and I would quick get myself a tamarind soda as a treat for after the surgery. We happened to pull up just as a semi was in the road, parked, unloading, and with how difficult it was for me to get in and out of the vehicle due to pain it was ok with me that we couldn't pull forward any, I didn't want to get trapped by the dumpster accidentally. As I was getting my stop for the day, my wife mentioned "some guy" kept staring at her. I thought she meant the truck driver, but I was wrong. What happened next absolutely floored me. The truck driver hopped in his rig and pulled away and I noticed the owner of Korner Grocery, Larry Robinson, pull up in his truck kind of awkwardly in front of us on the street (public parking mind you). He got out and about 3/4 of the way back to his store turned around, I had thought he reconized me from where I work because the two businesses deal with each other (we make regular bulk purchases from his store). So as I'm struggling to open the door to wave hi, while looking right at my wife Larry hollers at the top of his lungs "Get a job!" and turns around to go inside. Absolutely appalled, I got out of the truck and asked what he just said to my wife as he refuses to even turn around. I walked in the front door (which took a second because of the excruciating pain I was in) where he was standing by the deli secion. He saw me, and immediately looked away. I asked him again what he had just said to my wife. He insisted we go outside to discuss this matter and proceeded to walk out the front door where I followed. I asked him a third time what he had said to my wife and by then I will admit, I was absolutely livid. Stuttering around and giving me some weird excuse about how people are always parking where his employees need to park because of some video game he thought he was just tired of people parking there (again, I'm talking about property not owned by Larry at all. I'm speaking of public property owned by the city on the side of the road). It took me two or three more times of asking what he had said to my wife before he finally acknowledged what I knew to be true, that he had said to get a job. Which he then apologized for once or twice. This man may not have recognized me, but I put an average of about 135 hours in where I work on a regular basis in 2 weeks. I happened to be out because I was on my way to surgery, getting myself a treat, and this is the way not only just an employee, but the actual owner of the establishment treats who he thinks are strangers. I can honestly say, I would not be this upset if it was solely me he had treated with such disrespect. But I absolutely will not stand for somebody treating my wife in such a manner. I cannot believe the audacity of this man and that is exactly why I will never step foot in that store as long as he is associated with it whatsoever. Sadly, every other staff member I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with in that store has been great. But Larry has absolutely destroyed any urge I ever have to go back. I'll admit, neither one of us are at an extreme loss here, as I was never one to make excessive purchases at his store, and I can always get exactly what I want from Runnings at the top of the truck route. But I feel like I did have to mention how the owner of Korner Grocery, Larry Robinson, somehow feels justified in treating people he doesn't know whil
