If you are looking for peace and quiet, absolutely picturesque scenery as the location name suggests, world class sunrises/sunsets to the tune of rooster pheasants in the background, there is no better place! The grounds welcome you with impeccable cleanliness, not a thing is out of place. Craig and Mary have literally thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Accommodations are well kept and spotless. ‘Downey’ fresh bedding and bath towels add to the relaxing experience. The beds are super comfortable lending to a peaceful, rejuvenating rest you desire when away from the grind of everyday life! The hunting is top notch, allowing for ample time around the grill, fire pit, shuffle board/pool or card table enjoying fellowship and camaraderie! The worst part about Rolling Hills Lodge is leaving! Thanks again for the incredible hospitality!

Stayed the evening of September 29th with friends and was very impressed with Rolling Hills. Superb accommodations. Enjoyed all the natural outdoor sounds away without the highway and urban noise interference, hearing coyotes in the distance that eve and hearing the pheasants, as well as seeing many the next morning. Has to be hunter's paradise with all the birds and other game around, not to mention being so near Francis Case lake for fishing trips. Even an ice house to freeze your game harvest prior to your return home. Such a very very nice and relaxing lodge, so very glad I had the opportunity to visit and another rises again if I get near this area in the future.Rooms: Very nice.Walkability: Several paths for a stroll.Noteworthy details: No noise interference, just the sounds of nature.

My dad and I were looking for a place to stay while we fished on Francis Case, the rooms were very reasonable, and way, WAY nicer than the other options in the area. Our beds were super comfortable, and the showers were hot. After a long day on the water, it was so nice to come back to a big comfortable lodge and kick our feet up, watch some TV, and get a good night sleep. If you want to stay in luxury, for less than you would pay for a room at a motel 8, go stay at Rolling Hills Lodge, you will NOT be disappointed!

Rolling Hills Lodge is a hidden gem in the heart of Platte, South Dakota. The lodge could be described as a secluded rustic manor. The place is immense inside and out, and the wildlife décor alone is captivating. Mary was such a sweet and attentive hostess throughout our stay and made sure we were taken care of. Our rooms were clean and cozy and we were able to make full use of the kitchen space as well as the laundry room. The lodge is situated in the quiet countryside, but only 5 minutes from town, and 15 minutes from the river and parks. There is plenty of outdoor seating in the front and back of the lodges, where we watched a thunderstorm roll in from across the prairie. It was an experience we wont forget!!

The facilities, staff and the hunting are amazing. They have everything you would ever want at a hunting lodge. Lots of room to move around both inside and outside. The beds, common areas mixed in with some amazing taxidermy make for a very relaxing enjoyable experience. The practice areas for both shotguns and the targets for long range rifles are first class. Want more, some of the best fishing in the US is about 10 minutes down Highway 44. The best part is watching Craig's dogs work out in the fields.Pack your bags and coolers and make the drive. Once you're their you will not be disappointed and really have no reason to get in a vehicle while on the grounds. If you need anything Mary and Craig will do everything they can to get it for you!

This place is awesome. The saloon and living areas are clean and comfortable. Rooms and beds are better than any hotel. Mary and Craig are helpful and great to visit with. I would definitely recommend Rolling Hills Lodge if you are looking for a place to unplug and just relax.
