Received a email from them about a exchange review. It has no context as to what it’s regarding. Email has no phone number to call to inquire about this mysterious email. As far as I can tell this whole company is fishing for information to scam people some how.

No communication with this company at all.. Tried to contact them, but they say I don't have a policy when I do. Seems they can't locate my ins policy, even with my ssn.. But they have no problems with the automatic withdrawal of payment they have been getting. Cut that off when I closed my bank account and moved to another area. Now receiving letters saying they can't get my payment and I'm going to lose my policy.. Really? Said I didn't have one. They also changed companies without notifying me, Was Assurant, then American Memorial, and now Trustage.. I don't trust them.. I lost a year worth of money cause of this.. Glad I found out before I passed away.. Only reason they got a star from me is because I couldn't post without it! I DON'T TRUST COMPANIES LIKE THIS!!

Not a very straight forward company. I've called several times trying to get an updated copy of my insurance policy for 3 years and still haven't received it. When my father was in the hospital, it was said he didn't have long and the company still would still be an updated copy of his as well. They have very poor communication and lie every time they say they mailed something out. The only thing they main out is the bill. Everything else is just lies. I even asked if it was a legitimate company once because they never send what I ask for even though they tell me it's coming. There are several other companies to go with for your life insurance needs, Assurant is not one of them. Please go elsewhere. Don't let the excellent customer service fool you. Because that's the only thing they have going for them. They lie with a smile and politeness.

No phone call back as promised 5x.They sent out a company to fix my washer which they totally broke and now they Assurant will not fix. Still trying .

Prior to the end of our GE manufacturer warranty period, we purchased an extended service warranty through Assurant. What a mistake! We had a service call today. While the technicians corrected the original issue (i.e., no water to the refrigerator door or ice maker), a new issue arose within an hour of their departure. Now that water is reaching the door, it is evidently collecting inside the door and gushes out the bottom onto the floor when the door is opened. We immediately attempted to contact Assurant to alert them of this new issue, and we were told the issue was pre-existing and therefore they would not approve a repair. No effort was made on the part of the Assurant representative to assist us. We cannot understand how a new problem could be deemed an existing condition. At this point in time, we feel the purchase of the extended warranty was a complete waste of money and will be requesting a refund.

If I could give a lower score I would in a minute. Bought their extended warranty through Nebraska Furniture Mart when we purchased our appliances. The refrigerator started having problems in July 2020. Fan went out and took 2-3 weeks to repair. Not ideal since it was our refrigerator. It went out again in September. Same vendor was contacted. First technician did not show. They did not call to let us know he wasn't coming so we waited all afternoon for nothing. When I called to reschedule, they said it would be several days before someone could come out. After escalating to the owner, another technician was sent. Different problem and of course parts had to be ordered. A week and half later parts are in and technician scheduled. Again a no show! Best they could do was schedule for a week out. Finally, it was the day the technician was supposed to arrive. He did but was 1.5 hours after his 5 hour window! In the meantime, the ice maker stopped working. I called Assurant to file a claim and ask for a different repair company. They said I would have to wait 30 days before they can reassign another vendor because of their agreement with the service providers. What?! It is not the customers fault if the provider is bad. Can't believe they won't send another company. So much for customer service.

I have called 4 or 5 times to have change of ownership forms mailed for a policy my mother got on me when I was a child. They said they mailed them the 9th of July and its thr 30th and I still dont have them.
